Alix awoke in a daze. Pressing a warm palm to her spinning head, she tried to focus her vision. Where was she? What was going on? The last thing she remembered was finally crawling into her unmade, dorm-room bed after a marathon study session. She ought to be concerned about her psychology final, but for reasons she couldn't quite put her finger on, she wasn't overly worried.
