Ellis had a smile on her face when she walked into class Monday morning, still riding high from her date and first kiss with Lynn. Paula spotted her as soon as she walked in the door, making a beeline over to see why she was so happy.

The professor walked in and Paula had to return to her seat, but as soon as class was over she followed Ellis into the darkroom to talk to her.

You look like you're in a good mood. What's up?

Ellis smiled, hesitating, not sure she should talk to Paula about Lynn. I had a date with Lynn Saturday night and it went really good.

Paula looked slightly annoyed, So you like her, huh? Well, that's probably for the best anyway, since Toni and I had a long talk Saturday night and decided to try a little harder at making things work. She swears she's going to stop being so argumentative about every single thing.

Ellis was trying to keep from giggling and breathing a sigh of relief at the same time, but was finding it hard to hide it. Well, maybe things will work out for y'all.
