I’m Well Again, Daddy

About this ebook
Could they stay strong in their beliefs if their daughter succumbed to the disease? Naturally, as Christians, they kept their hopes up in prayer that Alice would recovery. But at the tender age of 8, Alice dies. The story tells the circumstances of the couple’s struggles before and after Alice’s death, and how they overcame their sorrow because of their religious beliefs.
My Motivation In Writing This Book:
Though this book is fiction, it is also my conviction that death is not the end of life, for those who believe in Jesus Christ’s teachings. Some of the story is based upon what occurred after the death of my father and mother, especially since I too thought I heard my father call my name, after his death.
When my mother died, I also never experienced such “peace” in a room such as what I never experienced before; and I saw an unusual light leaving a window in the room (which was not caused by a light bulb). I believe it was my mother’s spirit.
How many have kept similar incidences in their memories believing if they told them, they would possibly be considered insane.

I am the author of two other books, which were published by PublishAmerica.com many years ago. “The Tiny Girl with the Big Golden Curl.” I’ve also illustrated this book. This book was published by Publish America many years ago, but is no longer on the market. My 2nd book, “One Denominational Race,” gives my own personal point of view regarding how the “races” are defined in America, and how I believe the stigma of races should be redefined, as I am a very light skinned “Black” American. This book is no longer available on the marker.

DIAGNOSIS REVEALED
I t was early evening, but Alice was tucked in beneath a warm blanket in a hospital bed. She thought she heard her name being called, " Alice, Alice !" Though there was a tube in her arm, she sat up and looked around but saw no one. Only the night-light in the room had a small glow around its bulb. Alice was eight years old and was dying of cancer.
How well Don and Lucille remembered Alice having severe stomach pain on her seventh birthday. Shortly before the party was over, Alice came running into the house crying, Mommy, mommy, I don’t feel good. My stomach hurts!
Come here child,
Lucille said lovingly. I am going to give you some medicine for your stomach ache, but I want you to lay down for a while. Your friends will have to go home now. Don, please explain to the children that Alice isn’t feeling well and I am putting her to bed.
As Don turned to go outside, Lucille walked Alice to her bedroom, and while doing so said, You will feel better later on. You probably ate too much birthday cake.
Going outside, Don called for the children and after they gathered around him, he said, I’m sorry to announce that Alice isn’t feeling well. All of you will have to go home now. I will be calling your parents to come and pick each one of you up.
The children began to expound, Is Alice going to be alright?
Don replied, Yes, she’s going to be fine.
