    Introduction

    Congratulations on taking this first important step toward greater abundance! Undoubtedly you have one major goal in reading this book, and that is to finally overcome your inner and outer money blockages and go on to create an abundant, happy life for yourself and your loved ones.

    This book will probably be a little bit different than other abundance books you may have read previously. As the title states, this book is about allowing abundance. Not manifesting it; not attracting it; not taking massive action to make it happen.

    You may already be familiar with the most common manifestation techniques like visualization, vision boards, affirmations, and the like. These techniques are all great, and they work very well when you want to attract more money and other forms of abundance into your life.

    However, there is also another important step in manifesting abundance, and that is allowing the abundance into your life.

    Allowing really means letting go of resistance. Resistance is usually in the form of worry, doubt, fear, limiting beliefs, and other negative thought habits. Once you release the resistance, you stop blocking abundance and you allow it to flow easily to you.

    Abundance can include money, opportunities, resources, spontaneous solutions to problems, job opportunities, business contacts, partnerships, travel opportunities, and much more.

    When you stop resisting and start allowing, you will be amazed by how easy and fun your life can become. Struggle, scarcity and turmoil will diminish and you will enter into a much more relaxed, positive flow where everything starts happening for you much more easily than it ever has before.

    I’ve organized the chapters of this book into 26 weekly lessons. Each week highlights important aspects of allowing abundance. You are not required to finish each lesson within one week.  If you have a busy schedule and can’t finish the lessons each week, or if you want to spend some extra time on each lesson, that’s fine.  Work at your own pace.

    However, I don’t recommend skipping ahead to rush through the concepts too quickly. Releasing resistance and moving into a state of allowance is a gradual process. Your patterns of resistance were not formed overnight, and they probably won’t be dissolved overnight.

    For best results, try to spend a minimum of one week on each chapter.

    Be sure to drop any sense of urgency as you do this work.  Sometimes people try to hurry up and manifest money quickly, but that always backfires. 

    You cannot allow abundance when you feel panicky and rushed.  When you feel rushed or pressured, you can only attract more situations that make you feel rushed or pressured. 

    Remember: the energy of abundance is completely incompatible with the energy of panic, fear, anxiety, pressure (or any negative emotion).

    The best mental and emotional state you can adopt as you work through this book is to relax, have fun, and focus only on getting yourself aligned with the essence of abundance. 

    In other words, your goal right now is not to manifest money but to feel better about money. As you work on dissolving any inner resistance you have, you will feel better and better about money, and you will start coming into alignment with it; and when you come into alignment with it, it must flow to you.

    The energy of abundance is very compatible with the energy of fun, playfulness, relaxation, enthusiasm, and joy. If you hold an attitude of playfulness as you work with these techniques, your progress will be faster and a lot more fun.

    All right, let’s get right to the first week’s lesson!

    Week 1

    How Scarcity Gets Created

    Spiritual teachers throughout the centuries have taught that our natural state is one of absolute abundance and well-being.  Our true selves - our inner, spiritual selves, never experience any sort of lack, struggle, or illness; these states are purely physical conditions.

    So, why do we experience them on a physical level?  Why and how does scarcity get created in the first place? 

    Believe it or not, it starts with something as simple and innocent as a thought. One little thought isn’t enough to create big financial challenges or a major lack of money, but it is enough to get the process started.

    When you think one little thought of scarcity or struggle, you attract more thoughts that resonate on the same frequency. And as you keep thinking more thoughts along that same frequency, you start drawing the physical equivalent into your life.

    If you keep up with this for days, weeks, months, and years, you can create quite a tangled mess! Worse, you develop strong mental habits that virtually guarantee you will stay stuck in that cycle of lack and struggle indefinitely.

    The most challenging aspect of a situation like this is that you may not even realize you have been thinking thoughts of scarcity, so it truly seems like you had nothing to do with your resulting problems.

    All you know is that you’ve been trying and trying to attract more money for years, or even earn it the good old-fashioned way by working hard for it, but you can’t seem to make any progress.

    Before we start exploring the solutions to this problem, let’s first cover the manifestation process so you know how it works. Even if you already know, bear with me because it will be a good overview if nothing else.

    Manifestation 101

    Your thoughts, beliefs and expectations all combine to trigger specific feelings within you. Your feelings then vibrate at a specific frequency, and the universe responds by manifesting corresponding events and experiences in your life.

    So, the simple version of that would be: you think, you feel, you attract.

    Understand that this process is not personal. The Law of Attraction does not punish you for thinking bad thoughts or anything like that. 

    Instead, think of it like a computer program. When you enter commands into a computer program, the program executes those commands. It doesn’t worry about what kind of person you are.  It doesn’t care how deserving you are of getting the results you want; it simply does what it was designed to do. 

    The Law of Attraction works in a similar way. The essence of your commands will be returned to you in the events and experiences of your life. 

    And how do you issue commands to the Law of Attraction? 

    Your feelings are your commands

    When you feel good, you are commanding the universe to send more situations that make you feel good. When you feel bad, you are commanding the universe to send more situations that make you feel bad.

    The Law of Attraction doesn’t care either way. It’s going to return to you exactly what you command with your thoughts and feelings. People often think that the Law of Attraction is responding to their words, but it’s really responding to their feelings. 

    Your feelings activate a universal mirror that reflects back to you the essence of your feelings. Feel good, attract good. Feel bad, attract bad.

    So, you may be wondering if this works the same way for money and abundance?

    Yes! When you feel good about money, you are commanding the universe to send more situations that make you feel good about money. When you feel bad about money, you are commanding the universe to send more situations that make you feel bad about money.

    Whatever you are feeling at a given time is the essence of what you will see in your life.

    Where Have Your Thoughts Been Lately?

    Take a minute right now to think about your daily life, especially regarding money. Where have your thoughts been on that subject most of the time?

    Do you constantly worry about money? Do you get angry when unexpected expenses pop up? Do you feel anxious about paying the bills? Do you feel frustrated that you don’t have more money? 

    When you think about money in general, how does it make you feel?

    If you feel bad when focusing on money, it’s a clear sign that you are not vibrating on the frequency that will allow money to flow into your life.

    This is a huge eye-opener for many people. They think that because they are constantly focusing on money, they should be attracting plenty of money. The problem is, they are not usually focusing on money . . . they are focusing on the lack of money.

    Huge difference, vibrationally speaking!

    This scarcity cycle can also contaminate other areas of your life.

    In fact, it’s very common for people who are struggling with money to also struggle in other areas of their life. For example, they may be involved in unhealthy relationships, or they might have persistent health issues that they just can’t seem to clear up. 

    If you have a few of these blockages in your life, the work we’ll be doing in the coming chapters can also help you transform those other areas. I’m going to teach you dozens of helpful techniques and exercises that you can do daily to dramatically improve how you feel about money and all forms of abundance.

    And as you start changing your feelings about money to be much more positive, you’re going to start allowing more money into your life.  Not just money; lots and lots of wonderful opportunities, conditions and experiences that are totally aligned with great abundance.

    Allowing Abundance

    So, how do you stop blocking abundance and start allowing it?  And is there a difference between attracting abundance and allowing abundance

    Attracting abundance usually refers to the actions you take to start drawing more abundance into your life; activities like visualizing, saying affirmations, creating vision boards, and other common techniques. 

    Have you practiced some of these techniques and not seen much progress from them? That’s because taking those actions is not always enough. Taking action to attract abundance is a great start, but if you aren’t also allowing it to come to you, you’re blocking it.

    That’s where this book is going to be different than other abundance courses you may have taken. 

    We’re going to focus on the other end of the spectrum, on receiving the abundance you’ve been trying to attract.

    As I’ve worked with many different money-attracting techniques over the years, I’ve discovered that the problem holding most people back isn’t the attraction part, but the allowing part.

    Allowing abundance means releasing all of the inner blockages, limiting beliefs, and destructive thought habits that are preventing abundance from manifesting in your life.

    In most cases, you’ve been focusing on attracting it, and attracting it, and attracting it - but you aren’t letting it in! In order to let it in, you need to be vibrationally aligned with abundance. 

    You need to be vibrating on the same frequency as money and abundance. 

    Unfortunately, most of the people who are trying to attract more money are definitely not vibrating on the same frequency, so it just never manifests. Or perhaps very small amounts manifest, but they can’t seem to get beyond that.

    If this describes you, you are going to love the techniques I’m going to share with you. 

    You’re going to feel huge shifts taking place within you and you’re going to know that you’re making progress, even before the money starts showing up. 

    I’m going to help you shift into a permanent state of allowing so that abundance and money and all good things can flow easily to you. 

    We will also touch on some really helpful abundance attraction techniques, so don’t worry if you don’t have a lot of experience with that. 

    We’ll be focusing both on attracting and allowing, but especially allowing since most people tend to struggle with that more than anything else.

    The First Step in Allowing

    The very first thing to know about allowing is that it is the opposite of strain and struggle.  The harder you strain, struggle and try to force money to come to you, the less aligned with it you are going to be. 

    It just can’t come to you when you feel that way because you are broadcasting a message of scarcity. Your vibrational signal is screaming powerfully, I don’t have enough money!

    All that does is command the universe to keep sending more situations where you don’t have enough money. 

    In order to receive money and abundance, you need to start relaxing and allowing it. That means dropping all feelings of urgency, desperation, anxiety, pressure, worry, fear, and anger relating to money.

    That’s not easy to do if you’ve developed a strong habit of struggling and worrying, and it’s definitely not easy if you’re in very tight financial circumstances right now, but it’s vital. Nothing will change if you don’t change your signal. 

    To change your vibrational signal, you need to start developing a new habit of letting go and allowing. Whenever you notice that you feel tense, frustrated or fearful about money, stop and let those feelings go. 

    The feeling of inner tension is really a split in your vibrational state. You have a strong desire for something but you don’t believe you can have it, so it creates tension.  Essentially, you’re creating a vibrational tug of war: I want that; I can’t have that; I want that; I can’t have that. It’s not a fun place to be.

    But when you deliberately let go of that inner conflict, the tension dissolves. Not only does this make you feel much better, but it also changes the commands you are sending to the universe. 

    It’s important to note that you are not letting go of the desire for more money. You are only letting go of your frustration that you don’t yet have it. Those feelings of frustration, anger, stress, resentment . . . they only keep the money away from you. 

    When you let go of that negativity, you start broadcasting a signal that says all is well.  It doesn’t matter if all is really well in your financial life or not, as long as you keep broadcasting the signal (the feeling) that it is, you’ll start allowing the circumstances and solutions that will make it so.

    It may not happen instantly, but it can happen pretty darn fast! Don’t worry about how long it will take; just pour all of your energy and intention into letting go and allowing, over and over again.

    Keep in mind that this is something you will have to keep working on repeatedly. You’ve probably built up a habit of feeling tense or irritable about money, so those feelings are going to keep popping up frequently.

    Don’t get upset about it when it happens; just keep practicing letting go and allowing, even if you have to keep doing it hundreds of times a day. Over time, you won’t have to focus on it so much because your new, relaxed state is going to become a habit. But until that happens, you’ll have to keep it in mind and be proactive about it.

    It might be helpful to say a few words to trigger a release of tension: I’m letting go and allowing. I’m letting go and allowing. I’m letting go of these negative feelings and allowing more money to flow easily to me.

    You can word it however you like; just keep reminding yourself that you are dropping the struggle, the urgency, the fear, the anxiety, and so on.

    When you do this frequently, you will experience a strong sensation of relief. Even though nothing has changed in your outer circumstances yet, you’re going to feel a lot better. And of course the better you feel, the faster the outer results will come.

    The Most Important Thing

    In the next few weeks, there is one thing that is going to be vitally important, and that is consistency.

    I see a very common thing happening when people first start trying to change their thoughts and attract money or other positive situations: they aren’t very consistent with it, so they see minimal results.

    As you work through the weekly lessons in this book, I’m going to urge you to be very, very consistent.

    I want you to view these lessons and exercises as something you just do each day, no matter what. Just like brushing your teeth, you make time to do it because you’ll face unpleasant consequences if you don’t.

    You might be tempted to procrastinate or put off doing this inner work, just because it seems to require so much effort at the beginning. Believe me I know how hard it can be when you’re first starting!

    But if you don’t do the inner work that this course shows you how to do, you simply won’t get where you want to be. Nothing will change for you. You have to put in the time, effort and focus to change your thought habits and improve your feelings about money and abundance. Only then will the outer changes happen.

    The good news is that it doesn’t have to be extremely hard to do this work. The exercises themselves are easy to do and they don’t require a lot of time each day. Even better, the outer results can show up quickly if you’re very focused and committed to doing the work.

    But you have to stay focused, and you have to put in the little amount of time needed to change your vibration. Be consistent! Make these course lessons a very high priority in your life, no matter how busy you are and no matter what else is going on at any given time. It will pay off in the long-run.

    Homework for This Week

    First, jot down a few notes about your biggest mental habits that block money and abundance. Ask yourself, How do I usually feel about money and financial matters? You may feel worried, anxious, panicky, angry, frustrated, defeated, victimized, or other negative feelings. These feelings provide great insights about the thought habits that you routinely focus on each day.

    So, if you often feel anxious and panicky about money, you are probably spending a fair amount of time worrying about not having enough, or worrying that things cost so much, and so on. Once you’ve got a good idea about these thought habits, you can catch yourself and deliberately let go when you start doing it.

    Second, keep practicing letting go and allowing all day, every day, or as often as necessary. If you don’t have a severely negative perception of money, you may not need to work on it that intensely. But if your money blockages are pretty big, you may need to be a bit more proactive. As negative feelings come up, practice letting go, letting go, letting go. 

    This will help diffuse your negative perception of money and finances. Next week we will build on that foundation and start creating a really positive focus on money. That will be a lot easier to do if you have first practiced letting go of any negative or stressful feelings, so be sure to give that your full attention for the coming week.

    Week 2

    Appreciating Abundance

    Last week we covered a simple way to start diffusing your negative perception of money, and your determination to keep letting go should have helped get your energy flowing in a better direction.

    This week we’re going to build on that foundation and get some really positive energy flowing on the subject of money.

    If finances are a constant struggle for you, you have probably developed a mental habit of thinking about money and abundance in negative ways. For example, worrying, fretting, obsessing, getting frustrated, getting angry, feeling resentful or jealous of wealthy people and so on.

    This negative perception of money and finances blocks money from coming into your life. Maybe not completely; you probably allow some money to flow to you, maybe through your job or business, and maybe through other channels too. But it’s not enough. You want more. 

    Unfortunately you keep blocking it because your vibrational signal is constantly broadcasting a negative message about money, which commands the universe to return to you the essence of whatever you’ve been focusing on.

    Remember last week we went over the way the Law of Attraction works? The feelings you experience all day long are calling forth corresponding situations in your life. If you feel bad about money, you’ll attract more and more situations that exacerbate your negative feelings about money.

    Obviously, it’s crucial to start feeling good about money if you want to manifest more of it. But how do you do that? This is a huge stumbling block for many people, because they can’t get past what is - the financial challenges, pressure, and stress that they deal with on a daily basis. 

    Practicing letting go like we did last week is a great start for shifting your frequency, but the next important step is to start focusing on money in very positive, productive ways.

    Appreciating Money & Abundance

    The simplest place to start, and one of the most powerful, is with an easy little exercise that helps you start feeling good about money right away. It’s fun and easy to do, it takes just a few minutes and it works fast.

    Here it is: start appreciating money and all forms of abundance.

    When you start appreciating money and abundance, you start feeling really good about them. And when you start feeling really good about them, you start allowing more of them into your life. And it can happen very quickly!

    The challenge is that you have probably spent a lot of time locked in a negative perception of money and abundance, so your negative thoughts are on autopilot. It’s going to take some persistent effort on your part to turn that around.

    Basically, you need to create a new mental habit to override the old. When you focus on money in positive ways often enough for long enough, eventually it becomes a habit and you just do it automatically. 

    Here’s how to start that process:

    Twice a day, for fifteen minutes at a time, start shifting your feelings about money and abundance into a more positive place with the exercise I’m going to describe below. (If you can’t spare fifteen minutes twice a day, then do what you can. I recommend a minimum of five minutes twice a day.) The
