Flight MH370
()
About this ebook
A fictional account of what happened to Flight MH370.
Could Captain Jumat have flown off course to aid the cause of the Malaysian Independence Party or had the two men travelling on false passports, Arad and Baback, exploded a concealed bomb?
Even more intriguing - why did the Boeing veer off its intended flight path by seven hundred miles before vanishing from radar? How can one of the worlds largest twin jet passenger planes simply disappear without trace, leaving no wreckage, no black box signal and no data logs on any of the three civil and military satellites that had been tracking it?
The conundrum is about to be resolved...

It is an intriguing mystery, and at the same time deeply sad that so many people disappeared, whilst travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on the morning of the 8th March 2014 on-board Flight MH370. I have tried to be sensitive to the situation that occurred, and to the families of those who were lost, whilst attempting to write a tale that sounds plausible.
When I wrote this short story, I was worried some readers may think the events portrayed within these pages actually occurred. I can assure you that is not the case and that this novel remains a work of fiction.
Yes… the basic premise for the story is based on true life events. Some of the agencies involved, most of the dates and times, destinations mentioned, names of ships, flight numbers and so on are fact. Other true details include - the mysterious phone call made to the airline captain before the flight took off from an unidentified individual on a stolen phone; FBI involvement; the two Iranian nationals travelling on stolen passports; some of the details relating to radar and satellite tracking to mention but a few.
What became of the plane and its passengers in part three of this story is wholly fictional and in no way based upon the truth. The fact of the matter is - at the time of writing this story - the authorities do not know what happened to the flight… and maybe they never will.
PART ONE
Beyond All Reason
8th March 2014, 00.41(Malaysia Time – MYT)
‘Yeah, I know…!’ Captain Atan Jumat snapped into his mobile phone.
Tenuk tried ignoring the Captain’s futile attempt to conduct a private conversation in the confines of the cockpit. The flight deck of a Boeing 777 wasn’t designed for such occasions. Not that it stopped him from attempting the feat. Tenuk watched as the middle aged officer cupped his hand over the mouth piece, averting his gaze to peer out of the port window into the darkness as he spoke. He no longer saw the man’s lips move in unison to his voice, only the gold epaulets flanking each shoulder and the bronzed pate of Atan’s shaven head, as the words drifted to his ear.
‘I’ve told you, I’ll do it… and I will,’ Atan spat the words in a harsh whisper down the
