Henrietta was raised in an orphanage and doesn't expect much out of life. Then she met Dr. Ross-Pitt, who takes an interest in her, taking care of her when she has the flu, and getting her a job at this neighbor's estate. She's definitely not in his class, but he can't stop thinking of her or wanting to be with her.
