    Chapter 1. Lottery

    It started with a lottery. It was a joke. Frank wasn't much of a lotto guy in fact he hardly played or gambled at all. A mate had bought him the ticket and per his ascent had entered his name on it. Everybody thought it was a ruse. The whole world thought it was a ruse. The United States was in shambles. Civil war had broken out and Texas had through sheer determination, upheld the American Constitution. The previous administration had plotted to enslave the American people by rfid chipping them. The outcry had caused the Civil war. Although the previous administration had prepared well in advance for such a scenario, such as building FEMA concentration camps and equipping their forces with more than sufficient firepower, it still could not resist the will of the people. The people won and the Government of the day as well as the then Congress was executed with their own guillotines. The depth of the deception of the American people was exposed and the then President was summarily executed.

    The Texas Free Army had taken over. So for the lotto...any person who had visited the USA prior to the Civil War and who held an American visa was eligible to enter. The American Presidency was the prize. A joke, a ruse perhaps but people from every nation had entered. The motto, for the candidate, simply was, just give it go and let's see where the road leads. Frank was in South Africa when the ticket was bought. He was relaxing in his room in the Sandton Hotel when his phone rang. Frank had won the lotto.

    He smiled. He tried shaking the thought as he walked to the hotel pool. A few lengths would clear his mind. He would then think about the implications of the whole thing. According to the text he received he was now the new United States President. He was to shortly receive some visitors. He completed the few lengths and climbed out of the pool. Sure enough, just outside the pool fence, stood a man in a neatly pressed suit. He wore Ray ban sunshades and he had an earpiece leading from his right ear to somewhere inside his jacket. White shirt and tie completed the ensemble. He nodded at Frank as Frank walked passed him. Frank was 54 and as fit as he ever was. He cut a smooth figure in
