About this ebook

”Kartaugh’s six big hands reached for her.  “I’ve been waiting a long time for this, spacer,” he rumbled, his eyes already alight with the promises of what he would do to her body…”

Captain Alice Gallant can’t seem to stop thinking about sex.

This is troublesome for her.  As a captain of her own spaceship, she has to be focused and determined - she can’t have distractions like this bouncing around in her head, keeping her from her job!  Especially at this stage…

Her ship is docking at a station, where she needs to sell her cargo to make payroll.  But the huge, mysterious, six-armed trader is willing to offer her a much better price - if she’ll join him for the night, giving her body up to him.  And Alice is definitely considering accepting this very sexy offer...

Accepting the Alien's Trade - Claire Westwood

    CHAPTER 1

Captain Alice Gallant gazed out at the incredible majesty of stars on the screens before her.  It was a massive canvas of the cosmos, stretching on into infinity, deep blackness filled with a million tiny little pricks of light.

    And she smiled.

Of course, her attention wasn’t focused on the view.  To her, the stars were little more than background.  After spending many years in space, the sight of the infinite was nothing new to Captain Alice.

Instead, she was looking at the object in the foreground of her view - a giant wheel, looking almost incongruously like a spoked vehicle wheel, suspended and floating on nothing.  It was still a ways out; she knew that as they pulled in to dock, it would grow until it obscured the rest of the panorama.  They had already received clearance to dock at the large space station, where they would have a chance to unload and disembark.

The mission was almost over, but Alice wasn’t quite ready to totally relax yet.  There was still the matter of negotiation, of actually securing payment.

But that wasn’t too bad.  They could get robbed on pricing for their haul, but they wouldn’t be physically robbed.  The worst part was done and through.

Down in front of her, Harrington, her pilot and first mate, coughed a little as he cleared his throat.  We’ve got access granted to docking bay three, Cap, he said aloud, as they continued to drift in.

Alice sighed.  Harrington, you know I don’t like when you call me that, she commented.  I really do wish that you’d stick to formal references.

Whatever you say, Cap.  She didn’t have to see Harrington’s face to know that he was actively rolling his eyes.

Alice thought about stepping forward, leaning over the upper command deck to reach down and smack her pilot in the back of the head, but she decided against it.  The young man might have a minor issue with formality, but he was one of the best pilots she had ever met, and devotedly loyal to boot.  Other crew members came and went, depending on the needs of the job at hand, but she was always in need of a good pilot.

The ship was now so close
