      Tim Drake was excited. As he adjusted the mask on his face, he stood in the Batcave, feeling ready to take on the world.

      For the last six months, he had been training his mind and body to become the next ally in Batman’s fight against crime.

      When do we go on patrol? the teen asked his mentor.

      Batman did not answer. He was adding fresh supplies from a metal cabinet to his Utility Belt.

      From the back, the cloaked super hero seemed ominous, even scary, as he stood in the caverns beneath Wayne Manor.

      Well? prodded Tim.
