    A full moon hung in the night sky over Gotham City. Its bright light gave the city a ghostly glow. In the theater district, the evening’s shows had just ended, and theatergoers flooded the streets. All were in a hurry to get home. It was never good to be alone on the streets of Gotham at night.

    Wasn’t that the greatest play ever? said ten-year-old Johnny Dillon, walking away from the theater with his parents, Don and Mary. They were headed to the parking garage to pick up their car.
