Hayley Shaver
I have grown up in Utah almost all of my life. I married the love of my life young. I write a lot, but am very picky, so don't show anything but the best of my work. I have many animals - - two dogs, four cats, four snakes, and two fish. We all reside in, you guessed it, Utah. I just might stay in Utah the rest of my life.

About the Authors
A List of Advice to you from your Cat
For those of us with cats, we have come to realize that cats are in control of their world. In fact, we are just pawns in their world. After owning cats for the last twenty-six years, I have seen this to be true. They have their own moral code. Here is a list of their rules and advice for us to follow.
Cats are to be treated as royalty and thus, as owner of their cat kingdoms. They truly think that they are in-charge of their homes, gardens, or the whole world.
We must do certain things to give them our obedience. Humans must rub cats behind their ears and on their backs. We must give the choice places on their beds to cats, when the cats want to sleep on those spots.
If you want to honor your cat, do not dress it up in clothes modeled after human’s clothes.
Meat is the new cake; feed cats meat daily. Humans are food dispensers; they are to dispense food at the same time and place every day.
People need to be trained daily.
Work only when your royal master, the cat, says so.
The humans must not awake their monarch when it sleeps.
Treat each day as a cat treats a bird: find it, play with it, devour it.
Water is evil, do not bathe your cat in it.
Snuggling is relaxing, so snuggle close to the one you love.
Groom yourself properly.
The most worthwhile occupation in one’s life is hunting.
Bring gifts to the ones you love. Laying a bird down on their pillow will strengthen your relationships.
Dogs are evil; so stay away from them. If your cat smells dog on you it will not go near you.
Gerbils and mice are only good for one thing – eating.
Mice are fun to chase and it is good exercise. Cats recommend chasing one each day so leave the cage open.
If you are going fishing, bring back the best fish for your cat. Salmon is preferred over all other fish.
Cat Short Stories
Milo, Isabeau, Cleo, Trixie
I have witnessed many things that my cats have done past. Each of them has their unique personality. I have wondered about what they would be like if we could understand them. They could tell us their own stories. I have composed some short stories that make them come alive.
These stories are based on each of my four cats Isabeau, Milo, Cleo, and Trixie. I have observed their behaviors and through their inspiration, created the stories that capture their personalities. Along with their college aged human counterpart they will come alive as we experience life through their eyes.
A New Surprise
Mary is a slender multi-colored torte cat with a long slender body. She looks much like Trixie who is also a torte, only smaller and younger. She peers out from under the bed where she spends most of her time. Mary stays under here for her protection from the evil world. Every sound makes her jump and she is going out of her mind.
Mary takes a quick breath and peers around the corner. There is no sign of any human, cat or dog. This is a scary house to her because there is so much going on. She does not realize that all of her fears are all in her mind. She cautiously walks toward her food dish. The food is a tempting sight but she can only afford one quick sip of her water, and a taste of her food. She takes a sip; so far so good, she still sees no one around.
Just then, Milo comes into the room. Hello babe. Nice you could finally join the party.
He sits down beside her. He was sitting in the corner of the hallway watching her every move.
Mary is startled; she did not hear him at all. Milo is the one cat Mary really wants to avoid. He likes to tease other cats and push them around. Milo even torments some of them. Milo is another long slender cat that has soft fur. He struts around as proud as a tiger. His markings on him make him look like a tiger.
Milo comes up to his dish to drink. He puts his paw in his water and licks the end of it. He repeats this trick; never actually taking a drink like a normal cat would by
