I thank you for your purchase of my book and your initiative to deal with a problem that many women deal with, the decline and loss of libido.
Sexual desire in women is something fragile, and when it's gone, there is often a domino effect. It can bring about the collapse of relationships, marriage, and the family life of many couples and may even end in divorce.
I congratulate you on your decision to stop the snowball effect and create a different script. From my own experience, I know this is not easy and it requires a lot of will power, determination, and mental strength to make a change, but I have chosen to do so in my life and so have many women who were exposed to the change I made in my relationship (friends or colleagues) who wanted to know how I managed to create such a big change in my life and my relationship.
Later when I started to treat people by spiritual awareness and self awareness, my own experience helped me to transform many more couples. The change in my life happened in a moment of enlightenment that made me realize that I was treading a fine line, on the verge of teetering over the edge, and if I did not make an immediately change, my marriage and my family life would end.
This enlightenment occurred at a bachelorette party for one of my friends. She was the only one who was not yet married. We have all been married with children, and for years we haven’t had a chance to get all of us together. After a few good drinks we started to joke about sex and sex after marriage. Of course, the usual phrases were thrown in for my friend’s sake: Yes, yes. Enjoy it now because soon it will end,
or I bet that in maximum two years you will start to fake orgasms
and many different potential excuses of how to avoid sex with the husband were tossed around between us.
Suddenly it hit me that behind the jokes and banter, we were actually talking about sex and sex with our husbands as a burden or a punishment.
The pressures in life, coupled with the lack of time only lead to loss of sex drive and to having sex out of obligation rather than desire.
Sitting there surrounded by my friends, I felt sad. I felt the loss of something that was so strong and beautiful in my relationship with my husband which was feeling the love and the intimacy we had in our relationship.
I asked the girls, How in the hell did we get in this bleak situation?
So we started talking about it more in deeper conversation. The only solution we could come up with is that it had to do with libido, attraction, and the sexual desire we felt towards our partners.
The issue of loss of libido continued to intrigue and bother me and I asked myself if it's just a natural physiological thing that happens to us when we reach a certain age and have nothing way to change it, or is it a state of mind, being burnt out with our routine and stress? If so, can it be changed or is it also just a part of life and therefore we have to accept this with understanding?
The interest and the sense of loss that I felt moved me to investigate the matter and bring it to women wherever I was – at work, in the exercise class, and in social interaction. Those discussions made me realize a number of things.
First, it was a problem that a very high percentage of women experienced. Many of the women I spoke with agreed with me that they experienced a decreased sense of libido or interest in their partners over time.
Second, there are many reasons that cause a decrease in libido in women. Some of the reasons are physiological, some are mental, and sometimes, it is a combination of the two.
