An idle example of the great Mughal architecture, it is included in the list of the Seven Wonders of the World. It has got Persian, Ottoman, Indian and Islamic features in it which make it look very beautiful.

Spread over in 32 acres, its construction was started in 1631 and finished in 1653. More than 20,000 workers took part in building this wonder piece of architecture. Along with this many elephants and carts were used to bring the materials to the building site. In the main mausoleum there are 28 precious stones engraved and there are 99 names of Allah carved in Mumtaz Mahal’s grave.
