About this ebook
The true story of how I scrapped my way up the ranks of Cydcor/DS-Max, a notorious door-to-door sales organization, and gave it everything I had trying to make it rich. This story explains how the business works, and what the experience is like to start as a bumbling sales rep and earn a promotion to Owner, full of colorful characters and misadventures along the way.
Few realize that there are hundreds of door to door sales offices around the country, in every major city, following the same system, chasing the same dream, and unleashing an army of solicitors on the world every day. But behind the sales reps knocking on your door, there are hundreds of reports alleging cult-like behavior and ruined lives, a message board for traumatized ex-employees, documentary exposes, even meme pages. Yet few understand how the business actually operates- information is given out as needed as one moves through the four phases of management.
I learned everything the hard way, and share the good, the bad, and the ugly truths about what life is like inside "the biz": the ambiguous job ad and interviews, the Day of Observation, the sales tactics, the mindset reframing, the above all, the sacrifices it takes to make it to the top. More than that, it's my personal story, and hopefully a fun read.
If you're looking for a first hand-account of "the Biz", this is the only book of its kind.
