    Another evening and it’s foggier than ever, Jill told herself. December can be like that. The fog made it difficult to even see who was approaching on the sidewalk. Glad to finally be home, she bounded the steps of her building quickly.

    Jill Wheeler was a twenty-one year old student at Tabor College in Clarkston. An excellent student, she studied hard and searched for all the knowledge she could take in. She had been raised to know that an education should not be wasted. The afternoon had been spent at the city library, where she often taught herself as much or more than she could learn in class.

    She walked to the door with the key in her hand, and was surprised to see a note tacked to it. Written in a quaint longhand style, the note read: Your server experience is requested for 7:00 P.M., Friday night at 250 Blackwell Street. How odd, she thought.
