Headline for Book Review- Why waiting for a Christian woman to date in high School is important.Review of Book:David Santos writes a wonderful story about a High School boy named Das and it begins in January when a new girl attends his school. The main character is Das is a church going Christian. Das has a dream to meet and date only a Christian girl and learns many teenage lessons about life as he has friends in school that can tests his patience. Kristen is the new girl and she is a nice looking good whom every man dreams to date. The pastor of the church invites Das to "preach" a sermon to the youth group and he does an amazing job. He shows that the youth have access to the iPhone, ipad, internet and that technology does allow them to bring the Bible with them everywhere they go. He mentions that atleast this is a good option and a positive impact to this generation. I agree that adults have no problems carrying around a Bible, but the younger age groups usually do not wish to do that. This is especially true in high school as peer pressure is so inviting. In the end of this book you will learn who Das did find to date as a Christian and all the fun things life brings during his high school days. I would recommend this easy to read book to anyone who is a Christian but to the younger generation. It really was a nice story as I have had to feel like the "odd ball" with Christianity and all of its daily challenges. In the end, it is about putting God first in our lives and not trusting manmade rules. Just try it yourself, read the Bible and the answers to your questions will be there.Reviewer Byline: Jackie Paulson is an avid reader and loves to blog and blog about book reviews. © 2011 David Santos nicely gave me this ebook to review and he is my friend on good reads.

SPECIAL THANKS

I would like to give special thanks to several people. Starting with my parents, who have kept me in Gods path.

I’d like to also give thanks to Carmen Mora who lend me her ears when I needed to run portions of the book through someone for feedback. And has been very supportive throughout the entire process.

Bev Degenova. My college instructor, who helped with editing parts of this book and who’s compliments on my essays inspired me to write more. If I had more teachers like her in school, I probably would have passed with better grades.

..and of course God for getting me through all those hard times in my life.

It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful and endures through every circumstance.

1 Peter 4:8 Most of all continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.

Introduction

Have you ever struck out? Have you ever been stabbed in the back? Have you ever fallen for someone and they turned out to be someone their not? In this book we will read about a guy that is sent on an emotional rollercoaster ride. We are along for the ride as he tells us his story of love, betrayal and faith.

1. Where it all Began

Here I am, in High School. It's Wednesday January 23rd, and I'm in class sitting in the back row trying to catch a few more extra minutes of sleep while the teacher lectures us on where humans came from. This year’s story is evolution. As a Christian I find this class a waste. Okay, so yeah, maybe some of my cousins do resemble monkeys, but that doesn’t mean we came from them. Then again, girls are always saying how guys are pigs maybe they’re on to something.

As I tried to take my nap the teacher, Ms. Rude randomly called me up to do a math problem on the board. How we went from evolution to math I'll never know, but I guess it teaches me to stay awake during class. The problem was simple Algebra: (x-3)*(x^6-2x^3+1) = 0. I wasn’t sure what the answer was, heck I didn't even know what the question was, but I learned if you ramble on for long enough eventually, the teacher will tell you to sit down.

Therefore, I began.

Well, it's easy really. If I take the 3 and multiply it by 6, divide by 3 plus 1...

As soon as I said that, this beautiful brunette with long flowing shiny hair, light brown skin, red full lips, white shirt and blue jeans came in. I was still talking . . . it’s just that the words wouldn't come out.

Das! the teacher yells out.

Ah, the answer is . . . ummm . . . 0, I replied while still looking at the new girl. Not sure if that was the right answer, but she told me to take a seat. I guess she didn't want to embarrass me in front of the new girl. Lord knows I don't need help doing that.

Wouldn't you know it; the new girl took my seat. So, I did what any good guy would do, I paid the guy next to her five bucks to give up his seat! (Only kidding, if only it were that simple). What really happened was, instead of giving me his seat, that same guy put his foot out and tripped me as I walked by. Needless to say, the whole class burst into laughter. Even the teacher was giggling! I ended up having to stand for the rest of the class.

As the bell finally rang for lunch, I got together with my friends at a table that I met at the start of the school year to talk about this new girl.

Josh have you seen the new girl? I asked.

Yeah man, who hasn't? he replied.

When did she arrive in town? I asked. Then Peter jumped in from the hallway.

Are you guys talking about that model that just got here? he asked. Peter knows every girl from within a 200 mile radius and everything about them. So I knew he had the 411 on who this girl was.

Yes, I said.Do you know anything about her?

Well . . ., he says as he took a seat next to us, she just transferred this morning. Latina, Mexican, has a younger sister. She's 5'8, 104 pounds, straight A+ student and that is all I know.

Is she single? asked Josh.

Peter moved his eyes from left to right, Uh, I don't know, He said.

You know all those things about her, but don't know if she's single? Josh replied.

Well bro, I told you she got here this morning. Who could she possibly have as a boyfriend this quickly, the taxi cab driver? replied Peter. Anyway, I hear she has a very naughty side.

What do you mean? I asked.

I heard she was caught kissing a girl in the girl’s locker room and got pregnant three times, Peter said.

What? Wait how could you possibly know all this when she just arrived this morning? I asked.

I have my sources, he said while shaking his head. The thing about Peter and I was, while I like the guy I also hate him! He pursues every single girl and he always tries to steal the girls I like by spreading rumors about either her or me.

A few minutes later the new girl entered the cafeteria and all the guys flew to her like dogs fighting for a piece of meat. Peter always had a thing for the popular girls. So he always sees fit to be the first in our circle of friends to pursue her.

Oh, yeah she will be mine, he said.

You say that about every girl. What makes you think she'll go out with you? asked Josh.

Because she's new in town and hasn't heard about me or my reputation, he responded.

There isn't a girl left on this planet that hasn't heard about your reputation, I jokingly said.

He said, We shall see, and walked out of the lunchroom. I looked over at Josh and we both started laughing.

2. A surprise visitor

It’s almost 6:30pm on the same day and I'm getting ready to go to church. Oh how these days annoy me. I have to get all dressy for what, five to eight people that actually show up to the church? None of which are my age, female or single, but these are the things we have to do for God.

Ready dear? asked my mom as I was tying my shoes.
