About this ebook
The Far Traveler's Log is a collection of poems presented in three books: The Epistles of Kurata, The Touch of Love, and Progressions of Power. The Epistles tell the story of a seeker as he awakens from Sleep. The Touch of Love explores the verdant landscape of the variations of love. Progressions of Power is a fictional story of the challenges our hero Kurata overcomes in the quest for Power.

Hi, I wrote a majority of my poems/books while going through a spiritual awakening, hence most of the subject matter has to do with love, spirit, energy, and learning to live in a new world. I currenlty work as a programmer by day and do healing work when the opportunity comes up.

Introduction
Glory to you, Far Traveler ~ and Life everlasting!
Progressions of Power… Power? Yes, power. Power in this case is Chi or universal energy and/or the control thereof. Micro to macro. If you accept the quantum theory our scientists have come up with to explain what’s been known for centuries… the world around us is composed of energy patterns. There are many schools of thought around the globe that claim to know this or that ‘way’ of learning about the energy and working with it. Once awareness is established, one progresses onward to learn to control it. This is the story – told in poetry – of a Traveler walking a Path which one might find oneself on if they should choose to look beneath the surface.
Once upon a time, one Fool found an old reference to the quest for the Holy Grail. Rather than the popular story we’re familiar with, this quest was in reality a path of initiation which had faded into legend. Simple steps which if followed might bring the initiate to a higher level of awareness. The searching Fool chose to look at the journey from the viewpoint of a knight questing through the modern world seeking the Grail. You will find references to the Grail, the Christian Bible, the Jewish Kabbalah, Kundalini, Taoism, dreams, visions, and encounters with beings from beyond the Veil which we call reality. Should a Seeker read these poems, they might find gems, symbols, signposts, and warnings to help them find their Way should they become lost or feel they may be slipping into madness when their belief system (the way they view the world) is shaken to the core by their experiences. Just so it’s clear, most of the poems have everything to do with manipulating energy, learning to live with new awareness, and dealing with those who live in your new reality. Hang in there. Love will find a way.
The following is the story which was written as the Fool made his way along the Path and learned the progressions of power.
Love to all.
ON THE PATH AGAIN
Glory to you, Far Traveler
And Life everlasting
What hills do you roam, my friend
What Stars smile upon you
What eyes brighten at your approach
What Land do you call your home?
I sense your doubt
I shout - I implore
Don't ignore the Light!
See it shining, oh so bright
In the places, in the Faces of those you trust
The smile - Without cunning
No thought of running
The fourth Step on the Stairway
Silent. Cold. Covered with dust
Clear the Cobwebs, the disappointment from your eyes
I know the Hunger within you
This spell of darkness you're under
Rise above - Watch with wonder
Take Love by the throat if you must
But remember the Path
Remember the Path
Let us start once again on yon golden Path
The daily blood bath of strife
The teaching - The reaching out
Let this Life fill your Heart with Light
May your eyes shine with Wonder
Sheltered under the geas of the Quest
Let us rend this Darkness asunder
Feel the Thunder

OPEN UP
Prerequisites for a bit of that Grace:
Joyous Rapture
Howling Wasteland
Reality may strike like a slap on the face, man!
Revelation thunders at the Doorway
- Wake up! Let me in! -
Being receptive was never a Sin
OPEN!
Open Eyes
Open Mind
Open Heart
Open Hand
Come walk with me in the Promised Land
You hold the Key in your hand
It's time you made a stand
Come walk with me
Shed the shackles of this world and be Free
Come on - Open Up!
Come take your fill from the Loving Cup

AWAKENING
I lift the shroud from my eyes
Behold the Light in the sky
In the People, in the land
Given sight, I at last understand
What once meant so much - now holds no lure
This time I'm sure
There are dark ones and pure
I've seen through the lies
The masks, the disguise
Laws, doctrines, and dogmas only seek to bind
Seeking souls shackled and bound in their minds
I acknowledge my crimes – Un-acquitted
The sins I've committed
The little wars that I wage
Against my darkness, and others'
Against the ignorance which smothers the Light
In the Book of History
We'd merit but a sentence - Perhaps a page at most
Unless we do more than through this life merely ghost
Unless we reach out
With a touch or a shout
Leave our mark or our scars on society
I've seen the Light
I'll take the fight
To the depths of Hell, if I must
I'll free you from your fears
Perhaps even dry your tears
Should you need me, if you need someone to trust
In my
