Ian Robert Crawford

Ian Robert Crawford is a poetic prophet with heart and soul. He was born in Gympie to a family who have resided on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia at Cooroy since the early 1900’s on one side of the family and the late 1800’s on the other side. Ian went to school in Cooroy and demonstrated great proficiency in Mathematics and English. After school, he worked first in a clerical capacity, then in the manual and technical trades.One day out of the blue, Ian was struck by a car whilst crossing the road and his life was forever changed. He spent seventeen weeks in hospital healing and recuperating from head injuries. Upon recovery, Ian found work in hospitality. Thirteen years passed and incredulously, Ian was struck by another car when crossing the road. He sustained head injuries again, however, this time a ‘door’ was unlocked to a higher spiritual awareness. Ian became interested in meditative pursuits and he developed some formerly hidden aspects of his higher consciousness. This extraordinary life journey has enabled Ian to tap into a deeper understanding of his unique spirituality.Poems of the Second Coming, is Ian’s second book. His first, Poems of Passion, is an esoteric collection of beautiful love poems.Ian still resides on the family farm, where he nurtures and is nurtured by his fruit tree orchard, the farm animals, his local native species, and of course, his human family.

I would like to lovingly thank Alison, my muse, whose essence inspired me to access the literary libraries of poetic potential available from within the annals of the Great Unconscious, and so meld these words together in

the matrimonial metre of spiritually positive verse which ushers forth in this anthology. Then, with the tentacles of Karma removing this Divinely convened connection, my fellow spiritual siblings have assisted me in

continuing on to the completion of ‘Poems Of The Second Coming’.

Dorothy, Vicki, Heather and numerous others have been paramount in my journey’s application, and then Mandy and Renae have kneaded the final layer to this consciousness cake, whilst Marion has added the icing by

arranging these words precisely in format for presentation for publishing.

I also wish to qualify that the God to whom I refer in my words, is the Creator, the All That Is, the Source, and not the contrived to control God of those who wish to manipulate, and so steer humanity into the materialistic mire of possession via the ‘third dimensional family religions’ encrusted in political dogma.

And then to my family, great gratitude and love, for without whom I would not be. To my sister Jodie, for completing this final arrangement. As well, my many thanks to Kim Aitken for her inspired art work which has
