I think short stories are much harder to write than novels since you've got a limited word count to connect to your readers. I love short stories because of the fact that they are... Short. This particular collection, honestly, I did not like it that much. I read lots of potential but basically thats it. Unexpected twists wasn't really unexpected at all. I've got a feeling that I've read this kind of stories before. Maybe the author could focus on one story and make it a full length novel. As i said, I've read lots of potential.

Another excellent book by one of favorite new author's. Mobashar Qureshi's books have not only been extremely readable but all of them very different and this one is no exception. To me of these stories are all about the decisions being made, either good or bad. Really enjoyed reading it and was a nice way to spend and afternoon in the sun.

If you are interested in a quick witty read, I highly recommend this book. Having read other works by the author, I was not disappointed. The collection of stories was well written, intriguing, and entertaining. I would like to see several of those expanded to a novel. I look forward to reading more from Qureshi.

Ten Typewriter TalesMOBASHAR QURESHIA Collection of Stories. 40,000 words"He loved his family. He loved them more than anything...Now he was thinking of destroying those that brought peace in him."I am a big fan of short story collections. I think that they encourage readers who can't stomach the idea of a large book and can lead people into reading novels where they've previously been discouraged. I quite liked this book of stories, the concepts for most of them were sound and if I had to make a complaint, it would be that a lot of them weren't long enough for me. Not to say that the stories ran out of steam, just the opposite, for most of them I would be happier to have been reading them in novella form and I believe that there was enough 'meat' to these stories that this sort of transition would be very successful. I particularly liked the stories 'Seeking Help' and 'Young Man with a Cane', but at the end of both I was going "What happens next..!?" I thought this book was great and I am looking forward to reading more from this author. **The author of this book provided a copy of this ebook to me for an honest and unbiased review**

I actually listen to the stories on my kindle text to speech feature that I am enjoying. So I did not see all the typos that a few are noticing. I probably would not notice anyway. The stories are short and entertaininng. The first one a little violent. I really liked the second story and wanted more of that one. I wanted to see what would happen next.Short stories are all too short for me. These short stories make you think and entertain you. I was given this ebook in exchange for honest review.

Every story is intriguing and suspenseful... all the characters are full of life and emotions. The best part is that the ten stories in only eighty-four pages are well written enough to shock the reader at each conclusion. Bright, smart, it'll make you laugh and want to punch someone in the same page. Genius writing as with everything by this thought-provoking and honest author.

I really enjoyed the collection of stories in this book. Each story, while becoming a bit predictable, followed the short story building "formula" so well that I read a few to my lower reading classes and used them as a teaching tools. When ninth grade English students who can usually care less ask to hear another story, you know you have a winner. This collection is a winner in my humble opinion.

It is quite difficult to rate something which feels so incomplete as these stories. The general ideas for them were kind of interesting and some plot developments were a bit surprising. However, the stories had a lot of typos and the characters felt only sketched, not really created. Also, I feel that a lot of editing is required. Unfortunately, without being corrected, edited and developed, it is not something I would recommend reading.

Ten quick tales of varying quality. Lots of typos. The better stories are very engaging but not not exceptional. These seem more like writing assignments for a creative writing class than a polished work. I have a couple of more books by this author and intend to read them as a few of these stories show promise.

This is a book of ten short stories. The stories are decently done however they get a little predictable after a few. A nice quick read but no story really "stands out".
