    Arcadia by Tom Stoppard is a famous play written in 1993. The play revolves around the relationship between past and present and between order and disorder and the certainty of knowledge.

    The play has been highly acclaimed and most of the critics consider it the finest play written by one of the most significant contemporary play writers in the English Language.

    Some people say that Arcadia is a model of English-ness, and consequently it becomes a little confusing for and American audience. Actually, the fact is that Tom Stoppard was born in Czechoslovakia under the name Tomas Straussler.

    Before moving to England he had lived in India. England became his adopted home; however, he has never forgotten his roots. His other play Indian Link is set in India, and his most recent work Rock ‘n’ Roll is set in Cambridge and Prague.

    The people in Czechoslovakia have also not forgotten Tom Stoppard. There is a Tom Stoppard Prize that is given to writers
