About this ebook

“Blinding Obsession” is the fourth entry of “The Firehouse Diaries”. If you’ve read the others, you know a little about Chris Patterson, but, not enough to alleviate the shock of learning his lifestyle.

Chris is one that loves to be in control...both of his lovers and of his raging desires. That’s right. He is a Dom. One who has had several submissives in the past.

Control has always come easy for him...

...until he meets Korina Morgan.

*****

Kori first came to Bennett, Colorado for the wedding of her best friend, Rheagan. Rheagan had transferred to Bennett from LA upon receiving a job promotion, bringing Kori’s younger sister, Skye, with her as her assistant.

Skye was the only family Kori had left and couldn’t bear to be away from her, or Rheagan. So, she transferred to Bennett with her job, which, ironically, is a firefighter.

Being partnered with the obnoxious man Kori met at Rhea’s wedding was not a good way to start her new life. Chris Patterson, who portrayed himself as God’s gift to women, pursued her at every turn. She’d sworn off men after her Dominant husband abused her, landing her in the hospital more than once. But, Chris’ machinations turned her blood to molten lava, making it difficult to resist his sinfully delicious temptations.

Will Chris be able to control his raging desire for this red haired beauty? Will he be able to convince her, once she finds out of his ways, to trust him?

Will Kori be strong enough to withstand his kisses? What will she do when she learns he enjoys the very lifestyle she was running from?

I, Chasity Breeze, am what most people would call outgoing and friendly. A social butterfly? Not really, but I do love to collect friends of all kinds. At the same time, I do like my privacy and a lot of it. In the normal world, people see me as a sweet, innocent and never naughty little house wife and mother. But, people who really know me know better. I am married to the most wonderful and sexiest man alive. Brock and I have been married a few years, but we don’t like to count them. Counting just makes you feel old. We like to think we’re still somewhat close to newlyweds. Dating is one of our favorite things to share. Brock never ceases to amaze me with romantic surprises and secret interludes. We live just West of Fort Worth in Texas, cattle country. We are excited about our future and many more wonderful, but naughty, years together. Brock and I share a love for erotic books and we have our favorite authors to thank for inspiring me to write about our own adventures. Brock is my strong foundation and keeps me going in the right direction, which is a full time job for him. With him by my side, I feel I can do anything. I started my writing adventure in October, 2012. My writing is in its infancy and I hope to improve it with time. My love for reading has always had me dreaming of becoming a writer, so, here I am...I’ve written my first short story and working on another. When I’m not diving deep into writing a book, I am a domestic goddess and the best mom in the world, or so I’ve been told. I love to be with my family, whether it be going on a fun-filled vacation, or just sitting at home, all of us curled on the couch watching movies. I love to be outside in the fresh air, so I sometimes grab my laptop and head somewhere outdoors to work on a book, or I just take my dog for a stroll in the park or down the main street in our small hick Texas town. “Swingers” is intended to be a series of adventures that Brock and I share with others. However, I will be writing about fictional adventures as well. You’ll just have to guess which ones are fiction and which ones are true life stories. I do hope you enjoyed this book and will read more from me. Remember...a good book can put a smile on your face. A great book can change your outlook on life.

    A New Beginning

    The Diary of Korina Morgan

    August 3, 2012

    Dear Diary,

It’s been a year today since Rory and I divorced. I should be celebrating, but for some reason I don’t feel much like celebrating. I still miss the old Rory, before he became abusive. He was really very kind and thoughtful our first three years of marriage. Then, he met "them". His friends from the BDSM club. How he met them, I guess I’ll never know. All I know is that the first six months were pretty intense in the bedroom. I actually enjoyed being dominated by him. It was fun trying different things. But, when he brought home a whip and a cane…then used them on me…I had to draw the line there. I didn’t mind him spanking me occasionally, but beating me with those? Oh hell no! One trip to the ER for broken ribs was just too much for me.

What I really need is a new beginning. Skye has provided that for me by moving to Bennett, Colorado with her job. She’s my baby sister and the only family I have left, so I couldn’t let her leave me here in LA. So, I’ve packed all my things and I’m flying out this afternoon to a new life…a new start. Maybe I can get it right this time. If I leave men out of the equation, I should be just fine.

I have a small apartment not far from the fire station I will be assigned to. I was lucky that they had the need for more firefighters, and that Rhea’s husband, Jake, is part of the crew.

I hope there are other women there and that I will be partnered with one of them. Or at least someone who isn’t a womanizer and has a family to keep him occupied. I’m so tired of these macho guys thinking that just because I’m single, I’m available. I do not need a man to worry about. And I sure don’t need a man for sexual pleasure.

Although…there is that hot, sexy guy I met at Rhea’s wedding. I can’t remember his name, but, oh…what a body? He is one sweet piece of man candy I’d like to lick. That body of his just screams sex on a stick…a BIG stick.

But, no matter how much I’d love to man handle him, I think I’ll keep that little secret between you and me. No men for me. Not for a long time.

I think I need a night out with the girls. Maybe Rhea and her girlfriends will let me tag along on their girl’s night out tomorrow night. I would love to get to know her girlfriends. She’s told me so much about McKenna and Sera, I feel like I already know them. I have met them, I just want to make friends with them.

Well, guess I’d better get moving. My first day on the job is bright and early Monday morning and I need the weekend to get settled. Good thing most of my things are already there and unpacked, thanks to Rhea and Skye. Hopefully I will have something good to write about tomorrow night.

    Until then…

    Kori

    A New Partner

So, have you seen the new crew member, yet? Chad asked Chris and Chance as he tightened the laces on his boots.

Nope. But I hear she’s a real hot head. Chris said, buttoning his navy blue uniform shirt.

You guys have met her, you know. Chance chuckled as he buckled his belt. She was Rhea’s maid of honor. You know…that saucy little red head from LA? He said bobbing his head back and forth.

Oh, Chris remembers her. Hot head my ass. More like Medusa with red snakes instead of green ones. He shook his head. You’ve got to be kidding me. Man, my day just keeps getting better and better. He said cynically.

What? You don’t like her? Chad asked.

Hell no! She’s one of those holier than thou, nose in the air, uppity bitches. He smirked. I would rather be partners with a snake than with her.

Then you’re not gonna like what I have to say. Hayden, the fire chief laughed as he walked into the locker room. He slapped a folder to Chris’ chest. Meet your new partner, the snake.

Chris sighed heavily and looked up to the ceiling. Lord, what did I ever do to deserve this? He turned to Hayden. Come on, Hades! Can’t you give her to someone else?

Why? A female voice shot through the air from the doorway. You think because I’m a woman I’m not good enough?

Hayden grinned at Kori and ushered her into the room. Korina Morgan…your new partner, Chris Patterson. Chris…Korina.

The beautiful red head moved toward Chris with her hand extended in offering with a kind, genuine smile, throwing him off kilter. You can call me Kori. It’s a pleasure to meet you…again. She cocked her head as he took her hand.

Chris was speechless. When he’d met her at Jake and Rhea’s and Max and Sera’s double wedding, she was rude and obnoxious. But, now…she’s polite and friendly…and unbelievably beautiful with her long red hair pulled back in a ponytail and her bright blue eyes sparkling like sapphires. Never had he thought of their uniforms as sexy, but on her…she made it look like it belonged on a runway with her vivacious curves and creamy smooth skin.

Chris held her hand a little longer than usual as he studied her. He couldn’t believe this was the same woman he’d met before. He shook his head to clear it and finally spoke.

    Sorry about that…Kori. I was just venting…

Kori held her hand up to silence him. No need, Mr. Patterson. I’m quite immune to the way men talk about me and my attitude.

Chris’ brows furrowed. He didn’t know whether to be angry or relieved.

Right. Call me Chris. He said placing his guard on a bit. Do men always talk that way about you, or did you just get lucky your first day here? He asked in cynicism.

Kori just smirked and ignored him, turning to Hayden. Well, Chief Ericson. Shall we finish with the tour? I’d like to get my things settled where I will be bunking.

Of course. Hayden said as he dropped his
