I grew up in a very prudish, super-conservative family. We were the family that went to church every Sunday, were kept sheltered from the awful truths in the real world, and had to keep ourselves constantly away from temptation. As you can imagine, growing up was excruciatingly difficult. My older sister seemed better suited to this than I did, and consequently it was me who was always getting into trouble. She was the perfect, obedient child, which made anything I did ten times worse.
