    My Dearest Audrey,

I find myself thinking about you all the time, and words just simply cannot express how much I miss you. I had another dream about you last night, and it was so vivid that I woke up with an overwhelming sense of longing. The whole dream was centered on one of your long soaking sessions in the tub. I know how much you love to take a hot bath and relax, but I couldn’t resist the temptation to interrupt!

I wake up from a nap and reach beside me, only to find that you aren’t there. I’m lying on the bed with my work clothes on, the dark blue slacks with the blue Oxford shirt and the tie you bought me for Father’s Day last year. My tie is loosened around my neck, and I go ahead and pull it off completely as I swing my legs off the side of the bed. I sit there a moment, trying to wake up and get myself oriented and wondering where you are. Then I hear it.

That all too familiar sound of you stirring in the tub as you soak and relax. You don’t know it, but there have been so many times
