The Bible is the most widely read book in the world with almost 4 billion copies. It has brought comfort to people throughout the ages by being read both silently and aloud. Correct pronounciation of names and places adds to the profound beauty of this holy book.

At last a Bible Pronouncing Guide that is simple, accurate, and easy to use. When reading the Bible, especially for a few verses or specific items, one does not want to search through a cumbersome Bible Dictionary to find the correct pronounciation of words - and losing the original train of thought in the search. This Guide can be located next to the scriptures for instant access. There is no Guide of this kind available anywhere else.

The simplified pronounciation is devired from The New Smith's Bible Dictionary (a theological standard). The diacritical marks have been carefully converted to a vowel key and correct syllable divisions and stresses have been maintained. With this simplified pronounciation legend, a person can read with confidence and clarity. Even a child can do it.

Which syllable should be stressed? What is the correct vowel to use? Names such as: Hashbadana (hash-BAD-uh-nah) or Pochereth-hazzebaim (PAWK-eh-rehth-HA-zee-BAY-ihm) are just a few clicks away and easy to pronounce.

Several years ago, I tried to find a concise bible pronouncing guide for my personal study and teaching. Not being successful, I determined to make my own concise guide. After deciding not to use diacritical marks, I composed a simplified system that included vowel pronounciation, correct word division, and stressed syllables. I've marketed the Guide in 'hard' copy, but decided it was time to make it available as an eBook. Most Bible readers now use portable devices, and this allows them to have the Guide within a few clilcks. Over the years, I've authored, typed, and self-published several pamphlets, a cookbook, a genealogical study course, monthly newsletters and promotional materials for clients during my career as both Real Estate broker and Mortgage broker. I've traveled extensively including two visits to the Holy Land. (53 countries and all US states) My BA degree is in music, and I've taught and performed throughout my life. I live in the high desert of Southern Utah near Zion's National Park.
