A Rebel's Treatise On Understanding God - Jawid
Preface
This book has been written in persona and views expressed herein do not necessarily reflect those held by the author. A Rebel’s mind-set is highly averse to blind emulation in theological matters. One must earn one’s spurs so to speak therefore this treatise is not to be mentally absorbed so that it replaces the opinion or lack thereof of the reader, rather it intends to promote, even stir (through it’s sure, at times confrontational and even deriding style) a searcher toward deeper thought about his/ her Maker. The purpose of being.
In the case of someone being curious as to why He
is used for God in Abrahamic holy scripture instead of She.
This is far from an issue of gender, let alone any form of male primacy or patriarchal slanting. Rather it is the natural pronoun found in the Semitic languages (used by all of three major religions) denoting singularity, contrasting the duality or multiplicity of it’s feminine counter. Also God often reveals verses as We,
this is known as ‘the majestic plural’ or colloquially as the royal we.
Prologue
Rebel’s Note:
If this treatise contains vagueness that proves too much; my failing is in not dispensing at a level of ease at which my master Al-Mustafah bode me to, the fault is therefore my own and I ask his forgiveness in that respect. This has been written to dispel fog from the eyes of the weary and frustrated seeker.

On God
God is unique, eternal, all-pervading, ever-operating, just (towards us), almighty and omniscient. Of this we are sure.
I believe in a God that is not like unto the finite-god that sits upon a throne, nor like unto the pantheistic god that permeates every things’ essence. These are false deities and are undeserving of your respect or acknowledgement. The former is limited to place and quantity of space; this is unawareness at its height for it is a construct that dictates that The Limitless is limited by the very laws that He has created, that is an anthropomorphic concept. At our holy master Al-Khaadhim’s prescription; I say that of a surety I love not that god who sits upon a chair, for then the chair itself is worthy of worship, it supports and holds up the god.
