About this ebook

What could be more romantic than two weeks at a seaside beach house, overlooking the rambling cliffs? For Joaquin and Keira... anything. They weren't counting on the place being haunted by some evil entity.

Joaquin is the only one that sees it. Or hears it. Sweet death threats are whispered in his ear with regular occurance. At first he doesn't know what to make of this "ghost", but when he realises that it has a physical form he knows it's not invincible.

He would run far away from her if he could, but she promises to follow him where ever he goes. His only hope of survival is to get her before she gets him.

Whatever she is...

Lenka Dusek

Lenka Dusek was born in the Czech Republic. She immigrated with her family to the UK in 2002. Having studied English literature at university (Masaryk University, Czech Republic) she decided to take up writing, and became a freelance ghost writer for a number of UK authors. She has had a lifelong interest in mythology. As a teenager she and a group of like-minded students were privileged enough to be able to stay overnight at some of the most notorious haunted castles in Europe, including Moosham Castle in Unternberg, Austria, and Predjama Castle In Slovenia. She has been all over Europe searching for evidence of paranormal activity, and has undertaken extensive research into vampire folklore. Her fascination for the supernatural has never waned. Most of the characters in her works are modeled on the real people, particularly those people she traveled with and who shared her interest in the occult.

    Face in the Window

Joaquin stared out through the big floor to ceiling window. His gaze swept the rocky foreshore like the beam of a search light, swinging from side to side and rolling over the terrain, but he could see nothing way down there in the darkness. The lights were dimmed right down in the big lounge but it didn’t help.

‘She’s out there,’ he muttered. ‘I know it. She’s out there.’

Keira walked up beside him and looked down. She peered hard into the night but all she could make out was the gleam of the white foam left behind by the waves breaking on the base of the cliff face, and a few glimmering outlines of wet rocks … nothing else. It was simply too black.

‘It’s all in your imagination,’ she said. ‘There’s nobody down there. Who would be crazy enough to crawl around on greasy rocks in the dead of night anyway? Think about it. One slip and you’d break your neck.’

‘She’s out there,’ repeated Joaquin. ‘I can feel it.’

‘Yes, but you haven’t seen anything have you,’ said Keira with a bothered sigh. ‘You’ve been standing here the entire night and you haven’t seen a damn thing. That’s what the professionals would call paranoia. Come on face the facts, Joe, there’s nothing there now and there was nothing there last night. It’s all in your head.’

Joaquin snorted in protest. ‘I definitely saw her last night. She was moving down there near the water line. As real as you and me. I know the difference between the real world and
