I would like to start off by thanking you for purchasing this e-book. The purchase you have made is an investment that will help you build a skill that can be passed on for generations. I first learned how to successfully braid hair by my Mother when I was eight-years old. She braided hair to make extra money while in college. As my younger sisters and I grew up, she braided our hair in every style imaginable. She made me practice my first style on a Barbie Doll. It was not only fun and innovative; but it enabled me to tap into a well of creative energy that I had never experienced before. I learned at that moment that braiding hair is calming, peaceful and exhilarating!

I did not take braiding hair seriously as a source of income until I started braiding hair for my friends at age 15. That is when people started asking me to help them recreate the latest styles in the magazines of our time. In
