The Pub Quiz Master's Trivia Compendium - Theo Sanders

    Introduction

Whoever first dreamed up the idea of competitive trivia and pints of beer as a combination has left a legacy on mankind as profound as the discovery of the peanut butter & jelly sandwich. They are such unusual bedfellows that, on the surface, they defy the rules of physics and Universal Law. I salute this unsung genius.

The 660 eclectic trivia questions in this book have been organized, very loosely, into something resembling categories. While each category can be used wholesale as a pub quiz round, mixing and matching your favorites or creating your own themes will often lead to a livelier quiz.

Pub quizzers take great offense at a poorly-researched question, and will deliver impassioned arguments in favor of getting their stolen point back. Rest assured, all the trivia here has been battle-tested in real pub quizzes and is correct within five standard deviations on a normal distribution curve of pub quiz question accuracy.

Every effort has been made to render the questions timeless, but as we know history is written by the victors. If in a hundred years from now, the Germans have won World War II again, you will not be eligible for a refund on this book.

    Happy quizzing!

    -- Theo
