Sounds Fishy: Mermaid Haikus and Wisdom

This book started out as my Sketchbook Project 2013 chapbook. I began drawing these saucy mermaids and their little underwater friends and laughed with each page. When I showed the drawings and haikus to friends and they laughed too, I knew I had something. After my chapbook was complete, I agonized over sending it back to the Brooklyn Art Library or just keeping it for myself and maybe self-publishing it. A little voice inside my head said, “Just do both and shut up about it, girl.” So I did and here we are. I hope you enjoy.
