Prologue

Some women have a glow about them.

Jennifer was not one of those women.

Yet, sometimes fate has a way of bringing the light within to the surface.

In this case, it was snowflakes.

It happened for Jennifer in a Chicago hotel during an unexpected layover during a business trip to Portland from New York.

Jennifer had known Teddy for a smattering of months, since they met at a small bakery in New York City.

Chubby and awkward, Jennifer maintained a sense of self effacing humor about herself.

As for Teddy, he was attractive and a creature who reveled in gregariousness.

So unlikely they were to be around one other.

Both worked in the same building, but on different floors.

The elevator in that building had been where they’d mingle and share various levels of talk,

She was an executive assistant for a children’s book publisher on the 18th floor.

He was a graphics designer on the 11th floor.

At O’Hare International Airport, both bumped into each other once again, snowbound in Chicago.

He was on his way to Denver, while she was onward to Portland.

All passengers from both connecting flights were put by the airport at the O’Hare Hilton and O’Hare Marriott.

Conversation and attraction led two people into one another’s arms on a snowy Chicago night.

Teddy made an invite.

Jennifer made a decision.

Prologue End

Suite 304 was a master suite with living room and a moderate sized kitchen.

Jennifer arrived a little after nine, as Teddy welcomed her into his suite wearing only a navy blue bathrobe and matching slippers.

Drab olive skirt and pale green silk blouse were placed onto the sofa with a pair of forest green pumps kicked nearby, as Jennifer stood in only bra and panties.

Navy blue bathrobe was tossed next to her clothes, leaving him wearing confidence only.
