    Chapter One

August 3, 1979 would be a day of contrast and context for several Eau Claire residents.

Hair slicked back with mousse, Nicholas Bell looked like an above average professional that Angela Chase would be dealing with in a boardroom. Having a small gathering with some potential investors from out of state, he chose a window table to sit at with them.

Dining party of five from Carter Manufacturing Corporation sat a few tables away. Arthur Carter and four others glanced at menus, while making small talk over business dealings.

Seeing one person in particular at the table of Arthur Carter, led Tulip's owner to rise and approach. Adorned in royal blue, silk suit with white handkerchief in right breast pocket, Nick's baby blues were an apt coupling to powder blue, cotton shirt and tie of navy silk.

Angela didn't realize that Nicholas was there, as he walked over from that table and greeted Arthur and his confounded daughter. Whenever Bell was at Tulip, that signature red, Alpha Romeo had a parking spot in the back of this elegant eatery. Tulip didn't need to flash a glorious auto in front of it, like another one of Nick's establishment's, The Eight Ball.

Good afternoon, Mr. Carter, Nick's cordial greeting filled the area, as Angela looked up from her menu with lips slightly parted.

Having just had a fresh trim of his silver hair from the barber that early morning, Arthur Carter was the image of a distinguished man of means, Nicholas, it's good to see you.

Both men shook hands, while the woman seated next to Arthur couldn't resist giving Nick a look of common secrecy. Angela played the role of the polite daughter of this President of industry, even while those brown eyes conveyed glimpses of a carnal cauldron.

I hope the service has been good, so far, Nick played the efficient owner of Tulip, as couldn't resist returning to another subject, Arthur, I must say, commenting on something that took someone by further surprise, Your daughter is looking quite lovely today.

Yes, she is, with pride, a beaming Arthur Carter nodded in her direction, My darling, Angela.

Seated next to her father, Angie was left with only a few words to say to Nick, Thank you, and Mr. Bell.

Ah, Angela, slightly needling this female over her formality, the charm offensive was in full swing, Please, call me Nick, placing either hand on the back of Arthur and Angela's chairs, Nick confidently smiled, All my friends do.

Nicholas Bell in blue and Angela Chase in red. The only item that could complete a flag of friskiness between them remained a white handkerchief that peeked out of his breast pocket. Naughty Nick would have willingly waved it in surrender at Angie's prospering pussy.

Okay, with a glint of embarrassment over the situation at hand, her eyes gazed up at this man she knew too well, Angela forced a smile, Nick.

Angela, be more friendly, letting out a loud laugh at his daughter's benefit, Arthur Carter got three underlings at that table to also titter at Angela.

I am, daddy, like a scolded child, she gave a tiny smirk to him.

Even seated next to her father, Angela felt quite inadequate whenever Arthur Carter spoke. In some ways, her liaisons with Nick were the ultimate rebellion.

Lifting glass of water and starting to sip, Carter commented on his surroundings, This place really has shaped up, Nicholas ,thinking back to a time when Tulip wasn't such a desirable locale to enjoy fine feast and appealing ambience.

Thank you for your compliment, Arthur, as if a gold star was given to him, Nick's teeth glistened.

This lunch meeting had been held up long enough for Carter wished to converse with Bell, Well, it's greatly deserved, glass of water placed onto table, Arthur slightly dismissed him from his area, Nice seeing you, Nicholas.

Well, it's good seeing you too, sir, Bell felt the sting a ten foot pole pressing him away from Arthur, knowing this was a proper moment to retreat.

Nicholas Bell always strived for entree into the social circle of a man like Arthur Carter. With Tulip's success, his shined shoes tapped on snobbery's dance floor. He definitely wasn't going to place himself into the position of annoyance to this tycoon.

Nick grinned broadly, as thoughts of what he and Angie did in the past came streaming through his mind, Well, all of you have a pleasant lunch, moving away from them, he greeted some other customers and Archie, before rejoining that table with investors.

Almost ten minutes passed, when Angela and production manager, Kim Kelly, excused themselves to the ladies room.

Pouring over that sight of Angela walking towards the back of that restaurant, Nick also remitted himself from those important out of town guests. Making a journey behind those two ladies in the hallway, he waited until the other CMC employee entered that rust colored door.

Touching an unsuspecting Angela on left hand, Bell whispered, You look like fire, Angie, remarking on that woman in red. Without saying a word of response, she giggled and continued into the ladies room.

Archie Hamilton walked over to him, as both dialogued over some supply problems that Tulip had been having with a local market. As Chase and Kelly exited the ladies room, Angela breezed past where both men stood.

Hello, Archie, lightly smiling at Hamilton, Angela made a plain reference to the man who'd brought another type of glee to her life, Hello, Nick.

Kim Kelly and Angela Chase returned to their meeting with Arthur Carter. The other two males at that table, Oliver Vincent and Jay Parker, sifted through several files of product information.

Nicholas Bell began to give those investors a comprehensive tour of Tulip, starting from the kitchen to a supply area in back. Head waiter Carl Edmonds, chef Oscar Larinda, and part time manager, Archie Hamilton were the second tier boosters for Nick's plan on expanding the restaurant.

Arthur Carter and his party squared their bill and began to leave this restaurant for the office. As Nick returned to that dining area with investors in tow, he couldn't resist introducing these people to one of Eau Claire's most respected businessmen. Bell got Arthur to stand there for about five minutes on his behalf for getting more investment in Eau Claire.

As her father continued to speak, Angela stood directly behind him. Silently, she thought of how bizarre this portrait of a lunch meeting was.

Carter was giving kudos to a man who'd in the last five years, had pulled his reputation to the heights of becoming a member of the Chamber of Commerce. Listening to this business baron speak, Nick and Angie exchanged Glances of desire.

Chief of business operations Oliver Parker nodded his head and gingerly reminded his boss of a the time elapsing, Mr. Carter, the business situation we talked about earlier, needs to be taken care of immediately.

Diplomatically, Arthur and the others said their farewells to those out-of -towners and Nicholas Bell. Angela was the final person in this stream of people leaving the restaurant that afternoon.

Before making it to the front entrance, Nick walked behind her and made a suggestion, I want to see you later. I hope you'll say yes.

Oh, and you think you ask and I give in?, Angela know Lawrence was working late that day, leaving her with only one answer, Yes, any time after seven.

I want you to come back to Tulip for a treat.

Walking out of Tulip and onto the sunny sidewalk, Chase turned head and grinned, I will.

8 o'clock had just passed, as Angela Chase returned directly from work to Tulip. She was still wearing that glorious red and he remained in brilliant blue. Eight of the nine tables were occupied, as Angela slowly walked towards that hallway leading to the ladies room.

Taking her by the hand into his office, Nick couldn't wait to get Angie out of those clothes. Leaning against the closing door behind this firefly, he sighed, What a sight for my sore eyes.

Oh, I think your eyes aren't as sore as something else on you, Nick, turning around and tossing red purse onto a black chair in the corner, Angela's level of comfort with him was at it's zenith.

Now, where were we, Ms. Angela?, thinking about the interruptions that happened the last time they had been together in his office at the Eight Ball.

So, the man is still eager for an unveiling?

Angela, I knew the ink would do you well, Nick began to nod with self assurance that whatever work his tattooed pal did with her; it would be worth the wait to see it.

From the look on your face, unzipping skirt, Angela winked, You look like you've done this type of flesh review before.

Beaming over his previous conquests, Nick parted those parched lips, Lady, lady, I have, rolling tongue back and forth, It's how I decided to get you a tattoo instead of a piercing.

    Piercing?

You look surprised, gently tugging his tie loose, Nick's reverence was clear. Angela Carter Chase remained as something different than many women he'd bedded in the past, leaving a candy confection as the mark that was most desired by him.

Glad she didn't fall on that latter scale of this male's choices for her body modifications, Angie slipped out of that red skirt, Nick, I don't know what to say, almost at a loss for words at that point.

I'll say it for you, adding another platform of Angela's placement in his life, Nick's teeth chattered, Just be glad you're several stages above Darlene.

Darlene?, bewildered by hearing that name coming from his lips, Angela wondered if it were someone that she knew from days gone by.

Yeah, one of my waitresses here at Tulip, giving her only a brief description of the delicious damsel that he'd partaken moments of previous pleasure with.

Nick, what did you do with her?, picking skirt up from that carpeted floor, Angie placed it next to her purse.

Approaching her, Nick peeled off that royal blue jacket and tossed it onto a table, I had her pierced, his voice exuded pride in that fact.

Sounds quite invasive, sir, slightly squeamish over hearing that information, Chase rested hands on his office desk.

Thrilled by this woman's reaction, Nick purred like a tiger to its prey, It is, dear Angie.

Where?, intrigued and wanting to know more, Angela pouted at an exposing Nicholas Bell.

Both tits. Belly button, going through the ordinary places that any form of steel could be situated on one's anatomy, Nick revealed the pieste de resistance of body modification, Clit, too.

My goodness, taken aback by that final location, Chase felt breathless and relieved that it was not she who had flesh poked by metal.

You know, Angela, walking over to an intercom on the wall, Nick began to press for communication with his wait staff outside, I can call her in here, right now, unashamed of what he'd done in the past, Bell smiled, So, she can show off what I had her tagged with.

Right hand furiously waved, as Angela calmly tried to persuade him, Don't do that, Nicholas.

Angela remembered Darlene Morrissey from Regis High School. But, she was quite stunned to know the road of ribaldry that had been taken by this once envious classmate of her.

Nick's attention reverted back to Angela, as he poured a glass of brandy for himself, So, where is it?

Why don't you come here and find it, becoming a playful babe in this man's midst, Angie snickered.

Sweet thighs, if I have to come over there, Bell took a gulp and swallowed that brown
