About this ebook

Emma Rhodes is a college graduate on the road to finding her dream job as an Interior Designer for the perfect company, Malone Enterprises. She never expected not only to land the perfect job, but to find the perfect man who happens to be the CEO of the company and the most eligible bachelor in the state of Texas, Mason Malone. He’s everything she’s ever wanted in a man, but will he be interested in her when he learns that she’s a virgin and has always planned to stay that way until marriage? Once she sees the Love Lights in his eyes, she's sure he's the man God made for her. Her plans take a turn and she's willing to give him everything, her heart, body and soul.
Mason Malone has never been serious about dating any woman exclusively. No woman has ever treated him as a normal person. All they see is a successful billionaire playboy that could be their meal ticket to fame and fortune. So, Mason simply doesn't date much and throws himself into his work. He also never planned to marry and have a family, but when a young catcher, recruited to play on the Malone Mavericks softball team at the company picnic, catches his eye, his plans change almost instantly. Emma Rhodes is everything he's ever wanted in a woman. She’s beautiful, charming and treats him as a normal human being. She also has a certain twinkle in her eyes that has him bewitched. She's the woman he's always dreamed of and he can't believe she actually exists.
Things heat up for the couple the very day they meet, and Mason can't wait to get her into his bed. But he learns something shocking about his perfect angel in the heat of the moment, just as he has her where he wants her. She's a twenty four year old virgin. He wants nothing more than to get her into his bed, but to take her virtue? He was taught better than that. It’s time to be the gentleman he was raised to be.
Will Mason be able to resist the constant temptation of making love to his beautiful angel when he promised her, himself and God that he wouldn't? Will Emma be able to convince him that she's ready to take the plunge and become a woman in every sense of the word?
"Love Lights: First Sight" is an amazing story of abstinence and the struggles of maintaining it when in love, respect from a true gentleman and the sweetness of true love at first sight.
Be advised, this book has explicit sexual content in some situations, including sexual intercourse and oral sex.

Ana B. Ronning

My name is Ana B. Ronning and I live in North Texas with my husband of twenty four years, Garrett, and our beautiful teenage daughter. I’m a stay at home mom at present, will be an empty nester in a couple of years and I plan to remain at home until retirement catches me. I grew up in a small southern Texas town where people didn’t lock their doors at night in fear. My sister and I could be found either on our bikes, in a tree or just running barefoot through our huge back yard. We were rarely indoors and our mother would stand on the back porch and call to us when it was dinner time. We could hear her from blocks away when she’d call us, and come roaring into the yard on our bikes, usually racing to see who could get there first. Most of my life, I really never liked to read. I was the athletic type and loved to play all kinds of sports. Reading was just plain boring to me most of my life. So, you can imagine my surprise when I found something that sparked a fire in me that I never knew existed. I suppose I was stuck in a rut, not knowing what direction my life needed to go. I didn’t feel I was contributing enough. My daughter was growing up and didn’t need me anymore, for one. I wanted to feel that I was equally contributing to my family and to society. And, I most certainly wanted to make my amazing husband as proud of my accomplishments as I have been of his. Garrett has always been there for me, supported anything I wanted to do and he’s always had my back, no matter what. I was searching for something to make me feel more adequate. I felt there was something missing...something important I was supposed to be doing. As luck would have it, Garrett dragged me to a half price bookstore one day looking for something in particular for him. I was browsing through the Romance Novels as I waited for him, not intending on buying one. I noticed one that book that stood out among the others. It looked quite appealing, so I took it home and started reading it. By the end of the next day, I was finished with it. I loved it so much I asked Garrett to take me back to get the other two books I learned were in the series. They were read in three days. This was sometime in Autumn of 2011, when I found my love for Romance Novels. I read just about everything this particular author wrote then found other authors I really liked. Garrett encouraged me to write a book of my own, so I wrote my first 19th Century Romance Novel in January of 2012 and finished it in April of 2012. I had never enjoyed something so much in my life, well, almost nothing else. I found what I wanted to do, my passion, and it only took me forty-three years to find it. I finished the novel and went on to read more Romance novels, but more modern than 19th century. I fell in love with modern romance even more and started working on the “Love Lights” series. This was my true passion for writing romance. I enjoyed writing these three books and I do hope that you enjoy reading them. I will eventually publish my first, 19th century novel, in addition to a sequel to it, in the future, but for now, I have more writings that I am currently working on. I truly loved writing this series and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Ana B. Ronning

    About the Author

    Chapter One

Come on, Em! We'll be late for the game! Kim shouted down the hall of their apartment.

I'll be there in a minute! Keep your panties on, will ya? Emma shouted back at her.

Emma Rhodes and Kimberly Davies had been best friends since they were nine years old. They were like night and day, opposites in every way, looks, wits, and personalities. Emma was about five foot four and very fit. Her long hair was bleached blonde and naturally wavy. She was nicely tanned and had the darkest blue eyes. Kim was a little taller at five foot six and was also very fit. Her long hair was dark, chocolate brown, straight and very fine. She was always pale in the winter and tan in the summer. Her eyes were dark brown behind the thickest black lashes, making Emma green with envy.

They did everything together. From sports to dance recitals, from dating to college, and, now, sharing an apartment and looking for jobs together.

Kim is looking for a job as a Real Estate Agent and Emma an Interior Designer. They have a friend they met at the University of Texas in Austin, whose sister runs both of those departments at Malone Enterprises, Inc. Bailey Malone is the youngest of the Malone family, at twenty-four. Her sister, Mallory, the eldest at thirty, of her three siblings, helps run the family business. The eldest brother, Mason, is the CEO and President and Ethan, just two years older than Bailey, is the VP.

Bailey invited them to the annual company picnic and softball game. She recruited them to play in the big game against Wilkins and Sons Construction Company, being they were star softball players at UTA. Emma's dad had coached her team since she started playing in first grade. She met Kim two years later, when she tried out for the team. Emma’s dad coached every team they were on, including high school. So, softball was a way of life for them.

Kim sighed as Emma ran down the hall, buttoning up her Rangers jersey. She had just about every player’s jersey from the Texas Rangers. She and her dad were loyal Texas Rangers fans. Baseball and softball was something they shared more than anything else. He was her biggest fan, as well as her older sister, Allison. Ally played when they were younger, but, she wasn't as interested in softball as Emma. Cheerleading was more her thing.

Well? Emma laughed. What are you waiting for? Let's go!

Kim rolled her eyes and lightly smacked her arm. You really need to give yourself more time to get ready, instead of reading those stupid books! She scolded.

My books aren't stupid! I just get lost in them, that's all! Emma said defensively. It’s no different than you watching The Vampire Diaries and True Blood." She argued.

Hmph! She snorted. That’s different! Romance novels are a waste of time, if you ask me! No man will ever treat you the way Lord Aishley treats Lady Anna! I mean puuleeease! Romance novels are nothing but fiction! Kim chided.

Emma laughed. I think you're confusing them with Fairy Tales, Kimmy! Romance is alive and very real. We just haven't found our soul mates, yet.

Whatever! Let's get going! I'm ready to play some ball!

    *********

The parking lot was packed as Emma drove around searching for a place to park.

Damn! There are a lot of people here! You think they're all from Malone Enterprises? Kim asked in awe.

I don't know. There is another company they're playing against. It still seems like a lot of people for just one game. Surely, there’s another game going on. Emma shrugged. I think Bailey said something about Wilkins Construction being Malone Enterprises’ biggest rival.

Did Bailey tell you anything else about the game? Kim asked as she surveyed the fields.

Nope, just that her brothers and sister would be excited to have our talent on their team. Emma said as she pulled her Kia Soul into a parking space. She went on about some rude and obnoxious guy that was at the last game. I think his name was Rick or something. I can’t remember. I tuned her out when she started bitching about him. She shrugged.

They dug their equipment from the back and headed for the field. They each carried a small duffel bag and a bat and were dressed for some serious ball playing. Kim wore an old jersey from their high school days, royal blue with gold and white stripes on the side with a wildcat on the top left, and Daisy Duke cut offs. Her long brown hair was pulled back in a ponytail and she wore a CHS Wildcat's ball cap.

Emma wore all Ranger gear: White jersey with royal blue sleeves and the Texas Rangers logo on the front, with the number thirty two on the back. Her long blonde hair was pulled back in a curly ponytail and pulled through the back of her Rangers ball cap.

Kim admired Emma’s hair as they walked through the parking lot. She loved the way it sometimes flipped when she wore it in a ponytail. She was envious of Emma’s naturally curly hair. It always looked as if she’d just hot rolled it with jumbo rollers.

As they approached the field, they heard screaming. Emma! Kimmy! Thank God you made it! They heard Bailey shouting as she ran toward them. She was very beautiful. She was shorter than Kim and Emma, at about five three. Her straight hair was shoulder length and layered. It was light brown with blonde highlights. She was thin and curvy with a pretty, golden tan. Her eyes were bright green. It was obvious she was used to being pampered with hair dos, mani/pedis, probably tanning beds, regular waxing and massages. All the things the very rich are accustomed to.

Oh thank God! You don’t know how glad I am to see you! She huffed and puffed as she stopped and bent over to catch her breath.

What's up, Bailes? Why the dramatics? Kim asked, laughing.

Our two best players aren't coming! You're our only hope of beating the Wilkins team! She breathed heavily. They beat us last year and Ethan will have a cow when he finds out Micah and Teri are a no show. Come on. I want you to meet my brother! He'll be so glad to see you! She pulled Emma's hand and Emma pulled Kim's toward the home dugout.

When they got to the gate to enter the field, they heard a man calling out the lineup. He was young, in his mid-twenties and very handsome. Dark tan, deliciously muscular six foot body, golden blonde hair, hanging just above his eyes and resting on the nape of his neck, perfect smile, and the same bright green eyes Bailey has.

Abby, first base. Sarah, short stop. Jessie, center. Haley, pitch. Daph, right field. Kaitlyn, third. Celia, left. He took a deep breath and looked around. Damn those two! He said under his breath. Where are Micah and Teri? He asked angrily. Bailey? He shouted, looking for his sister.

Here, Ethan! Bailey shouted over the announcements from the loud speaker.

He stepped out of the dugout. Where the hell are Micah and Teri? I need them here! NOW! He shouted.

They're not gonna make it! Bailey cringed as Ethan slammed his clipboard on the water cooler. Why the hell not?

Who knows? She shrugged. Then with bright gleaming eyes, she pulled Emma and Kim forward. But, I have someone even better. She smiled proudly. This is Emma Rhodes and Kim Davies. The UTA stars I was telling you about.

His frown turned into an ear to ear grin. Perfect! I need a second baseman and a catcher. Can you ladies handle those positions?

Absolutely! Kim said, beaming at him. Emma can catch. She's the best!

Great! Emma, you'll find your gear just over there. He pointed to the corner of the dugout just inside. You girls need warming up?

Just a little. The warm up on the field will be fine for me. Kim said with a flirtatious smile.

Emma stepped out, hooking up her chest pad. I'll need a few throws from the pitcher, then, I’ll be good.

You got it! Ethan smiled. Haley! Throw some pitches to Emma here, will ya?

Sure thing, coach! Haley smiled at Emma and held out her hand. Hi, Emma. I'm Haley Barnes.

Emma took her hand and smiled. Hi Haley. Nice to meet you.

Come on. Let's play! She said as they ran down the left field foul line.

Ethan and Bailey watched Emma as she caught for Haley. Not bad, Bailes. She's pretty good!

I told you so! Maybe next time you'll have some faith in your little sister, huh? She scolded playfully.

What is it you told him, this time? A male voice came from behind as Bailey jumped and squealed at him goosing her.

Mase! Bailey jumped at him with a big hug. I didn't think you were coming!

Mason Malone was one of the most successful business men, and most eligible bachelors, in the state of Texas. He was very young for a man of his stature, at twenty seven. He stood about six-three and was very fit. He looked a lot like Ethan except for his deep auburn hair and his build was a little bulkier. His hair was cut short and combed forward, tapering his forehead on the sides with the front spiked a little. He had the same green eyes as Bailey and Ethan and a killer smile. He wore a pair of black, gray and white plaid cargo shorts, a black t-shirt with Hart Huntington in big gray graphic print, and a pair of black and gray canvas flip flops. His perfectly toned body and washboard abs were to die for. There were always girls swooning over him, but he didn’t pay too much attention to them. The only reason they were interested was because he was wealthy and successful. He hated that about people. They never really saw him as a normal person. Because of that, he rarely dated and always threw himself into his work.

Well, my plans fell through and I decided to come and watch. He winked at her as he glanced over her shoulder at the perfect form of a woman squatting in a catcher’s stance. Who's the Texas Ranger? He asked, admiring her figure as she was catching for Haley. He cocked his head and narrowed his eyes, as he wondered what she looked like from the front. He shook his head, pushing the thoughts of what he could do to a body like that into submission.

Oh. That's Emma Rhodes. She's filling in for Micah. Bailey said as Mason studied Emma's curves. The girl on the end of the bench is her roommate, Kim Davies. She's on second. Mason glanced at her and then turned his eyes back to Emma.

I'd like to meet them after the game, Bailes. I'll treat the three of you to a beer or something. He said, keeping his eyes on Emma's back. He was hoping she’d turn around so he could see her face. The back of her looked very enticing. Her curves are deliciously round, especially, her heart shaped behind in those skin tight bike shorts. Too bad her jersey covers half of that beautiful ass. He thought to himself, choking down the growl in his throat.

Bailey looked at him in wonder. You? Meet with someone who isn't putting money in your pockets? She teased. Why, Mason Malone! Are you gawking at Miss Rhodes? She giggled.

He blinked three times, being pulled from his reverie. Huh? Why would you think that? He asked with one raised brow. I've only seen the back of her!

Bailey and Ethan smirked at each other. Whatever you say, Mr. Big shot. She said rolling her eyes and shaking her head.

Ethan turned to the dugout and clapped his hands. Okay, ladies! Let's take the field!
