“Kyle...”
“James?” I didn’t miss a beat.
“What do you want?” One of his hands slipped into my hair, just like he had done before.
“You,” I whispered against his lips. “You. All of you. Always.”
Instead of freaking him out like I had half-worried it would, my answer just caused him to press his body more tightly against mine. In response, I rolled my hips, rubbing my hard bulge against his if only to let him know how much I wanted him.
“Oh god,” he muttered. “Please, Kyle, I need a moment. I need to think.”
I really didn’t want that to happen. Thinking, I was pretty sure, wasn’t going to bode well for me.
“Think later,” I told him.
“Kyle, please.” His grip tightened. “I’m not saying no. But if this is really more than lust to you, then I need to...”
I got his point and backed off. He took a single step back and allowed me to look at him fully. He was breathing so fast. His lips were so beautifully wet with my saliva.
“God damn it,” he said, closing his eyes. “God fucking damn it.”
I had a very difficult time not reaching for him again. He ran his hand through his hair and sighed deeply before looking up at me again.
“You’re probably right,” he said. “I don’t know what it’s been like for you. But I don’t think you understand how difficult this is for me, either. I’m not supposed to have feelings for a student. I’m not supposed to abuse my authority like this.”
“You’re not,” I replied evenly. “And I’m not just a student.”
“I know.” He held my gaze. “Hell, Kyle, of course I know that. You’re so damn brilliant. You’re gorgeous. Some days I’m afraid I’m being so obvious about it that everyone in class can tell.”
The thought caused a jolt of lust to race through my body.
“Are you done thinking yet?” I demanded to know. “Or can you at least take a break from thinking and kiss me again?”
Once more he surprised me by obliging rather than arguing. He grabbed me, pulled me close and kissed me so passionately I felt completely bowled over.
“I want you,” I breathed into his mouth the moment he tried to pull back.
“You’ve got me,” he replied. His lips tickled mine as he spoke.
“No, I mean, I want you.”
It took him a moment to catch my full meaning. His hands framed my face as he stared at me. He seemed to be out of words.
“Please.” I reached for him as well. My thumb traced the curve of his lower lip.
“Kyle...” He sucked in a breath as though starving for oxygen. I knew he was worried because we were at school, but, damn it, we were in a windowless room with a locked door. And I had been yearning for this for so long.
“Please,” I said again, and then decided I didn’t want to wait for his reply. My lips landed on his, my hands started roaming. A second later I had him up against the wall. My tongue pressed into his mouth again. I dropped all pretense of gentleness and made it my new goal to kiss him until his lips were bruised. He wrapped his arms around me and clung to me, moaning into my mouth with abandon.
At this point, I could no longer resist the urge to fumble with the buttons of his shirt. I ached to find out if his body looked and felt anything like I had imagined in a thousand fantasies. My mouth continued to ravage his while I mastered the buttons, frustratingly slowly, one by one. Halfway down I couldn’t stand it any more and decided to do what I’d dreamed about so many times when I’d jerked off - I grasped the fabric of his shirt and ripped it open the rest of the way. The effect was one of intoxicating urgency. A s

Engaged. He was engaged.
I’d never hurt so bad in my life. And I couldn’t stop thinking about it as I stared at James Compton’s hand holding the blue marker and scribbling a list of characters from The Crucible on the whiteboard.
There would be a goddamn ring on that hand soon. A fucking wedding band. Life was so monumentally unfair.
I’d struggled with an intense crush on my English teacher for over two years. Every damn day I’d sat in class and daydreamed to his voice, undressed him in my mind, felt my heart jump in my chest every time he smiled. It had been agony all the way, even though part of me had deluded itself into thinking that Mr. Compton might not be quite so off-limits after I turned eighteen. I’d waited, I’d hoped, and now he was engaged - three days after my birthday. Fate apparently hated me with a passion.
Kyle, do you agree?
Huh?
I lifted my head, startled, and looked into the deep green eyes of the man who was causing me so much heartbreak.
Do you agree?
Mr. Compton repeated. He had that very slight smile on his face that I often saw when he called on me in class, a smile he probably wasn’t even aware of.
I’ll freely admit to being a bit of a teacher’s pet. I loved gaining his approval, having his attention on me. I worked my ass off to do well in his class. I did not like disappointing him, and I certainly did not like admitting that I hadn’t been paying attention, but there wasn’t much of a choice.
Sorry,
I said, lowering my eyes. I, um, didn’t hear the question.
Alright. Laura, let’s hear your opinion on the matter.
He moved on without making a fuss, which I appreciated. I still felt bad.
After class, anxiety flooded me as I remained in my seat. I had a study hall next period, and Mr. Compton had a prep period, which had led to us dedicating this time to discuss the LGBT Alliance, the student club of which I
