Micah:

I fucked up.

I should’ve known it wouldn’t be easy to leave Emma. I couldn’t stop thinking about what just happened. My mind reeled, spiraling into complete chaos.

I sat in the darkness of the plane, drinking a scotch, trying to calm down as her words ran through my brain.

Don't you wanna see where this goes? she had pleaded.

She looked so sincere, her eyes wide with hope and hurt, trying to convince me to stay.

I'd seriously miscalculated how much she would tear me up. I didn’t intend to tell her what I was really thinking, but she pushed and I gushed like a pansy.

I let her get into my head, wear me down, and had been dangerously close to calling off my intention to leave her. I almost buckled when I saw the tears in her eyes.

God, she seemed so convinced we should be together, like we could build a future, a life, hell, even a family. She almost made me believe we could work, that she could really want to be with me.

Get your head out of your ass, Turner.

You can’t have that.

I downed my scotch, trying to steady my nerves. She had me so tangled up and tongue-tied that it was all I could do to get out of her house as I made a beeline for the door.

I hadn’t even said goodbye. The one thing I wanted to do before I left. The words Goodbye, Emma, just wouldn’t come out of my mouth.

I tried to convince myself that saying goodbye was my only regret, but there was a burning sensation in my chest, like someone had put a vice grip on my heart.

Emma was special and I enjoyed every fuckin' moment I had spent with her. I closed my eyes, willing all images of her out of my brain. It didn’t do much good as I saw her smile at the small boy who had fallen in love with the teddy bear I won for her.

She was so much fun and beyond sexy.

I heard her beautiful laugh as we played around in bed. Entering her hot pussy was heaven. It was so tight and wet inside her, her womb pressing against my cock as I pushed deep...holding there, wanting to possess her entirely.
