I woke up from the smell of freshly brewed coffee, if there is any better smell in the morning, it is unheard of.

In the kitchen, she stood in a tiny white silk robe, the pokies hit my eyes head-on, stirring feelings inside me.

‘Good morning, J.’

Her voice was so low, sensual, creating havoc in my midriff. She had this magical touch in my soul, one word, and I was on fire.

‘Good morning, T, where’s hubby?’

‘He left half an hour ago. Someone called and had to have a last-minute meeting with him.’

‘Oh, when will he be back?’

‘Aren’t you the curious one this early in the morning, J? He is actually on his way to Los Angeles.’

She smiled. It was one of those mischievous smiles she always give me when she was up to something.

‘I can see you are up to something anyway.’

Her giggle took me off-guard, but the look in her eyes told me something else. They were glued way down on me.

I had a tree standing, ready to be pruned, she was more than ready to climb it. I could smell how her aroma spread itself in the kitchen.

‘Can you blame me, T? I got the hots for you, and you know it.’

‘I do J, I do. And can you blame me for taking advantage of that?’

Her fingers fumbled with the knot on the robe, she was getting that cat look again when she squinted her eyes, licking her lips.

‘No, I can’t, and I don’t mind you doing it as much as possible either.’

We took steps closer to each other, closing the distance, the heat was intense, burning us up.

Then she turned around and grabbed the pot, pouring us coffee, handing me a mug.

‘Sorry J, I have to have some coffee first. Without cream.’

The smile spread itself across her face, from ear to ear, she was going to get it.
