Okay, I sighed from deep within my chest, here we go. I dropped my keys into my purse, flipped down the visor's mirror and checked my makeup for the last time, slid on my sunglasses, grabbed my purse, and shakily got out of my car. I stood straight up, as if I were a regular, numb to the taboos of such a business. If anyone could read my mind, however, they'd hear a little angel pleading for me to get back in the car and leave.

Not this time, I mumbled, determined, but not very convincingly. Now, hush and be good. We'll chat later, I mused, grinning as I scanned the parking lot for obstacles and folks I might know.

Although hurried, my practiced walk was a confident stroll. Inside, however, I was a nervous wreck. I scowled when I realized the planning and rehearsing was for naught; I made the front door without the much-anticipated group of holy-rollers chanting while blocking my approach. Instead of their jarring, piercing condemnations, as I pushed open the door, I heard a soft, smooth, melodic and cheery hello from who I assumed was the store's owner or manager.

Welcome to Seductive Boutique, she warmly said with a very genuine smile.

The anxieties thudding in my heart melted. With her one opening comment, I realized I should have come here long ago. After cursing my restrictive fears, I told my backpedaling conscience to relax and let me do the talking. I had confidence,
