Chapter One

Another Saturday night and I ain’t got nobody….

Jenna Samples turned the sound down on her iPod and tossed the scrub brush into the sink. So it’s Saturday morning, not night. I still ain’t got nobody.

She pulled the ear buds from her ears and placed the mp3 player next to the sink. Damn song always made her think. Someday, I won’t have to worry about what I’m doing on a Saturday or who I’m with. Her cat appraised her with his wide, green-eyed stare. You love me, don’t you, Freddie? He flicked his tail in the air and strolled away without replying. Thought so.

She’d spent so many Saturdays alone. So many times she wanted to snuggle up with someone and just chill. Except finding that certain someone seemed damn near impossible. Her need for kink put them off and, if that wasn’t the deal breaker, her aversion to long term relationships did the trick. She wiped her hands on her shorts.

The cat meowed.

What’s going on, Fred? She strolled into the living room and stopped short. Her phone buzzed and vibrated on the coffee table and he pawed at it.

I forgot I set it back to the ringtone when I got email. She pressed the buttons to illuminate the screen. One text. Huh. The message popped up on the screen and she scrubbed the back of her hand across her forehead.

Be at the county airport at five this afternoon. Dress for the night of your life and you will find your heart’s desire. Jenna glanced at Fred.
