About this ebook
CHILDREN AND THE WORLD - the first book of SCM QUIZ WIZ Series - aims at creating an interest in children for exploring the immense world of knowledge in its wide spectrum. While the current book focuses on giving the children an opportunity to test their own knowledge-level in 5 major areas - Religions, Literature, Sports, Cinema, and Innovations - further books to be published under this series will take them to more focused areas in World History, Science, Mythology, Inventions, Countries of the World, and other vistas of knowledge. The quizzes are of international standard keeping in view the global readers of tender ages. The best part is: it has a HINT SECTION in the end, so one can 'try' and use his or her brains to guess the right answer and, then, it has an ANSWER SECTION where the final answers are provided. The book can be used both by parents and teachers as an aid to arouse in their children a sense of curiosity for knowledge and, also, as a self-scorer by children themselves.

After graduating from Mithila University (India), I adopted a career as a language teacher and served at several schools. I further served as Office Secretary of the Continental Board of Baha’i Counsellors in Asia (Gwalior office) where I was responsible for independently handling correspondence with Baha’i and non-Baha’i international institutions and developing study materials. I also served, during the same time, on the Translation & Review Committee of the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of India and translated a number of books including the Most Holy Book of the Baha’i Faith (by Baha’u’llah), Covenant (by Lowell Johnson), The Bab – The Herald of the Day of Days (H.M. Balyuji) among others.I am presently collaborating with a number of reputed translation agencies of India and abroad as a freelance writer and translator and have served in that capacity scores of international clients and companies of Australia, Canada, India, UK and USA. My books “Did I Exist Before ....?” published by Pustak Mahal (www.pustakmahal.com) and “A Writer’s Manual” published by V&S Publishers, New Delhi, are carving out a niche in the market.
