About this ebook

Book 1 of the In Your Dreams series.

Sixteen-year-old Zara "Zip" McKee lives for three things: basketball, books, and bailing out of tiny Titusville, Illinois, where the junior high and high school are in the same building and everyone's known everyone else since birth. But when Kieran Lanier moves to town and passes out on her desk on his first day at school, Zip's life gets complicated in a way she never dreamed.

Kieran has narcolepsy, and although he sometimes struggles to stay awake, he has no trouble capturing Zip's heart and trusting her with his most guarded secret--he sees bits and pieces of the future in his dreams.

But just when Zip thinks that maybe she can handle having a boyfriend who sees things before they happen, her budding relationship with Kieran gets a jolt when Kieran's parents reveal that his sleeping disorder is not what it seems and may be putting them in harm's way. And when Zip begins to have unsettling dreams, she must decide if she can live with knowing the future in advance when she's afraid of what might happen.

Your answers await you in In Your Dreams.I'm kinda speechless because I've often that dreams tell alot about a person and their surroundings. I found the story to be fascinating, intriguing, and compelling. The story drew me in from first word to last word. The characters are real, down to earth, interesting, and full of mystery. I look forward to reading more from this author.

A nice YA story of a normal small town girl who encounters Kieran her new neighbor and high school classmate who has a sleep disorder with special 'perks'. This tale goes into their relationship, his disorder along with a paranormal twist. Recommend for YA readers, especially those that like a good girl who kicks butt.Received this book via LibraryThing.com member giveaway.

I adored this book - more like adored Kieran - and I really, really, really wanted to give this book a perfect rating. I was sucked in as soon as I started reading it. The writing was smooth and enjoyable, the characters were cool and amazing. I really liked the way Keran and Zip's relationship developed - no insta-love BS here. The plot was really intriguing and unique and I personally found Kieran's habit of dropping dead asleep (he has a sleeping disorder) extremely cute.

But, I was somehow dissatisfied with the explanations given to all of the non-normal things going on. It was bland and unbelievable and extremely unscientific. Apart from little issues here and there Kayla's 180 degree attitude change, the frequency of Kieran's sleeping extremely high towards the end of the book than earlier said, the shadiness about the drug I really liked this book.

I received this book from the author Amy Martin from a discussion thread on Goodreads. This is the first book I have read from her. It is written from Zip's perspective. There are several characters involved. You have the main character Zip, the brother and sister who start at Zip's school: Kieran and Kayla, Zip's mum, her grandparents and Kieran's parents. I really liked the characters in this. They are all strong, and I felt a big connection with them. I could feel what they felt throughout the story. I believed and followed the characters so well that I felt an emotional connection. I felt my heart leap and jump around, and I even found the character Kieran adorable. He was so sweet and courageous, and his sleeping disorder didn't let him down. I really felt happy for Kieran and Zip when they got together. I could feel the sparks between them, and when they kissed, I was like "yay!". You can see Zip has a good relationship with her family, which is nice. Kieran's sister Kayla starts off not warming to Zip, as she is being protective of her brother, but when she realises Zip is actually decent, she then begins to trust her. There is also a mysterious character who you meet near the end, but I'd rather let you read to find out who that is, rather than ruining it for you. I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline. It's an interesting one, and I haven't read a novel with this sort of synopsis before. When I read what it was about, I jumped straight on it and requested to read it, and I'm really glad that I did. I like the overall structure to this book. I really liked the ending, and I can't wait for the sequel, which is due to release this year. There was so much going on in this book that I was drawn to every page. I couldn't stop, and found I was reading until the early hours of the morning just to see what happened next. I honestly didn't want it to end. The cover design to this book is nice. It's a simple, but unique picture of a closed eye. Overall, I'm going to give this book a well-deserved five stars because I simply loved it so much that I know I will read it again. It made me feel all sorts of emotions and I loved the storyline. All the characters were amazing, and I most definitely recommend to anyone. If there was a sixth star, I would probably give it, as it was that awesome. If you like stories with narcolepsy, romance, family mystery, then this is definitely for you. Well done Amy Martin =DHappy reading =)
