Do you ever wonder about New Age promises that don't deliver, the fool's gold of 'secret' esoteric knowledge and affirmations? I do and I believe there are pieces missing from the contemporary spiritual cannon, blind spots in the accepted orthodoxy on 'manifesting'. For three decades I've been watching and waiting for the things I unearthed many years ago to percolate up into common knowledge. Not only have crucially important elements in the technology of manifesting not appeared, what is available has not been presented together in one place in a sensible fashion, so I've decided to share my gleanings. There are a few concepts that have been left out of your knowledge base on creating your best life, and on what gets in the way. That is why you have found your way here. So let us dive in!

You really can create everything your heart desires. It is within your power. Even if right now you feel your life is not quite what you dreamed it would be, you can change it. Deep down you know this, but there is a problem. None of your veritable heroic efforts have quite met your expectations. Some of the guru's best advice is not panning out as planned. You are left to wonder why.

Am I not worthy? Am I getting it wrong? Do I not deserve to have prosperity in abundance just like the people around me, the ones I see who seem to have it all? Does everyone else have a secret that I just cannot grasp?

There is a knowledge gap. Although sometimes, some things work out for some people, when it comes to manifesting, there is an almost impossible leap between the popular information out there and what actually works. Why is this so?

There are several possible reasons. Theory number one, the generous assumption, is that those who manifest abundance readily and easily assume the process of manifestation as so organic and second nature that they are not able to convey the basics to their students. Experts in manifesting do not break down and parse out what it is they do to make things happen. They also don't convey that there is a tiny bit more to having it all than positive thinking and sending the universe your wishes.

A less generous theory, theory number two, is that by not giving you the whole story, you will buy more seminars, books, recordings and the lot and stay tethered to the teachers who, let's face it, make a living by selling you more stuff.

This needs to change. You need only to know and practice a few simple disciplines, which I will share. I will pass on the techniques which I have gathered over years of esoteric study and trial and error, with just enough personal illustration to both illuminate the concepts and to help you appreciate some of the theory behind them.

In the last few decades of quantum thinking, little of the actual technique of manifestation has been taught. What I've gathered here is truly rewarding and exciting and will change your life and the planet for the better.

GURUS

To the point above about teachers who keep us enthralled: there comes a time in life when you simply must stop wasting your energy following gurus. While it is crucial to have good spiritual counsel when you are in crisis, it is another thing entirely to rely on others and burn away months and years by constantly 'learning', dissipating forward motion by running from one expert to another. For heaven's sake, if there is some valuable information you need to acquire in your field to move forward do it, but evaluate whether this skill will be truly useful, or whether you are just finding another way to delay the inevitable - making a decision and taking real action.

No doubt some of what follows you already know on some level or have heard before in some other way, in some other form. This is to reinforce and remind you to use it, respect and cultivate what you know. There is a great difference between sitting in a seminar and taking notes and actually putting something into practice, availing yourself of the offered techniques and ideas so that your life will evolve. What are you afraid of? Success? Change? Your light under a barrel does not serve you, nor does it serve the world. And in the end, if you do nothing, the energy of your desire to change and evolve your life will go inward, causing disruption and problems so that you are forced to change.

Evolve your life the easy way. Make a move. It is not just for yourself that you do so. One happy thriving human being affects everyone around them, brings up the energy of a whole circle of influence. That one happy thriving human offers a template and example. Make a decision to go forward in your life before life itself grabs you by the collar, throws you flat on your back and hollers in your face, Now what are you going to do?

SOMETHING DIFFERENT

The accepted wisdom of manifestation techniques, the meditate on it and 'make it so' ideas we have been hearing for several years now are amorphous concepts. They are kind of like putting your hopes and dreams into a handful of pink balloons and then watching the wind currents take them over the horizon. These methods are outdated, and the short-sightedness of the old way of attempting to achieve our 'pot of gold' will stop us in our karmic tracks. Besides our wish list, there are a few more pieces to consider when embarking on changing our lives, and they involve a bit of physical practice and making ourselves clear both inwardly and outwardly. When we don't do some house cleaning to achieve this the effects of what we manifest are confused, insular, reflect back on ourselves and, barely making a ripple, quickly dissipate.

Science continues to reveal how we humans are an open system. While we appear to have bodily integrity at the scale of the human eye, when you look deeply into the microcosm of our molecules and atoms and even further down to their component parts, our composition is like a wide open city-like infrastructure, not fixable as matter per se, but existing as pure potential, requiring direction and observation, as well as being fully interwoven with everything outside of ourselves, right out to the stars. Recognizing this, when we work to make ourselves clear not only does abundance flow to us easily, our achievements ripple out, inspire others, and radiate back to us the gifts of brilliant change, as active co-creation and contentment. Happiness, in other words, is contagious and self-perpetuating when it is not completely self-centered. As well, we are energetically supported by everything around us when our wishes and actions are congruent. This is not to say run out and start trying to perfect the world. No. Your culture dish is yourself, and when you integrate desire, action and intent with attention and discipline you change the world.

DISCIPLINE

Whoops! There's a deal breaker word, a word with which very few people in our speedy society have a happy relationship. While contemporary culture first associates the word discipline with punishment, did you know that the original meaning of the word evolved from a concept of applying energy to one's passion, training in something progressive and useful? As a wise person imparted his or her expertise to a beloved student, so the disciple in turn learned to imitate what they aspired to.

In this context then, discipline becomes about love generally and about self-love and compassion specifically. It is about imagining yourself in your highest light, loving your own inner teacher and
