Exposed to Sun?
Wait to Shower to Store Vitamin D
If you are doing any outside activities in the sunshine your body will be producing vitamin D. To preserve this build up, wait to shower so it can be absorbed through the skin and not washed off. Dr. John J. Cannell explains this in the 8-31-09 issue of First Magazine saying if you must freshen up, use water and hold off on the soap until the evening. Vitamin D increases immunity, increases energy, boosts your mood, and (best of all!) melts body fat.

Get Sweet Smelling Blister-Free Feet
Don't you hate blisters on your feet? I do! There is a solution to help reduce the little buggers: use antiperspirant (NOT deodorant) and wear nylon socks. This will cut down on the moisture and cut back the friction that causes the blisters and also reduce the sweat that makes the odor. Roll-on or spray antiperspirants work fine, I think a stick would be messy!

Get the Most Lipstick for Your Money
Lipstick tubes are packed tightly in order for the twisting mechanism to work proper. Instead of tossing your lipstick when it gets to the rim, get a lipstick brush to apply the at least 25 more applications that are left behind!

While rinsing the sugary dough off my hands I noticed how VERY clean (every little fingerprint) and smooth and soft they were. A way to do this without the baking is to add a small amount of sugar to some dish washing liquid and you're all set! Your hands will thank you!
Beauty & Health Tip
Stay Sharp with Rosemary
Researchers claim that if you sniff the fresh herb rosemary you may improve your memory and increase alertness!! If you feel funny about carrying the sprig around, try rosemary essential oil that comes in a vial that you can take with you! Let's focus!

Whiten Discolored Fingernails
Do you need more than a manicure? Are your nails turning orange or yellow due to cleaning chemicals, hair dye, and sun? Try soaking your nails in denture cleaner or lemon juice for 5 minutes! Rubbing with a cotton ball dipped in hydrogen peroxide will work too, according to OPI nail expert Suzi Weiss-Fischmann. A preventative is to use a base coat to protect your nail
