Chapter 1
"So, what in the hell are you, anyways?"
Detective Herbert Vale’s secret partner, who was devouring his latest meal, paused long enough to glance at Herbert before continuing eating, ignoring the detective’s question. The freakish monster huddled in the entrance to the unfinished and forgotten subway of Detroit, the same place Herbert had met him and the same place he always met him with the beast’s latest dish. Which was exactly what Herbert was doing there, watching in disgust as his partner scarfed down what remained of Nate Mckey.
After discovering evidence in Mckey’s apartment that the slime-ball was a pedophile and a possible rapist, Herbert went home and fired up the Skylark, his vehicle of choice for these jobs
