About this ebook
Everyone has those stories they remember from their teen years. The ones that you gather around during the holidays or at a class reunion and wonder how in the world you didn’t get arrested, injured, or even killed.
You remember your crazy hijinks and the fluttery feeling of falling in love. This book takes you on a trip of times past and of friendships forged.
Take a walk on the wild side as the story opens with Pineapple Sam and his friends. The laughter flows from the first splash of water, to the less than slick getaway, and beyond.
Pineapple Sam reveals the secrets behind the sacred art of island martial arts called Kajukenbo.
The seriousness of teen life is mixed with a bit of comedy when it comes to romance. Anyone who did their share of mischievous things or fell in love while they were a teenager will be able to relate to Pineapple Sam’s adventures. This story reads like you just sat down to talk to an old friend. Sam is completely candid about his feelings while going through the usual teenage problems.

Dedication
Dedicated to my faithful listeners and readers, without them, my stories are nothing but jumbled letters put together with no meaning. Thank you for giving me a purpose to continue telling my stories with passion and enjoyment. If you don’t read or listen, please pass it on so that another may discover entertainment in the adventures of Pineapple Sam.
Disclaimer
The following memoirs are constructed from what I (and others with whom I conferred) can remember of the times depicted. While each and every event may not be true in every detail, the events described contain a larger truth that I call emotional truth
. These are the ways the memories presented themselves to me and grew in my mind as I concentrated on the gifts of the past. I look forward to hearing from others who may remember things differently. We can learn from each other.

About the Author
Introduction
I, Pineapple Sam, have always enjoyed telling stories about my life experiences to my friends or anyone else that would listen. More often than not, the stories involve something that happened to me personally. This allows me to express the true sentiment and feeling behind the story and therefore allows you to experience each moment in a way that cannot be found in a fictional story. I have found that stories are more compelling if they come straight out of the horse’s mouth they say. (I don’t really know where that saying came from, but you get my drift.)
My adolescent and teenage years were exciting times in my life, but things got just as interesting in my adult life. Many people tell me they enjoy hearing my stories so I am glad to share chapters of my life’s journey as long as I can. I am sure your own life was just as exciting or perhaps your future years will be just as colorful.
And so, this brief introduction has hopefully kept your attention long enough to turn the page to the beginning of my story. Fasten your seatbelts, and let’s get started.

The place was quiet except for the water splashing and gurgling through the rock formations.
Hey, hurry up before somebody shows,
I whispered to my buddies, Mando and Randy, as we splashed into the shallow, blue-bottomed pool.
We hunched over to shorten our silhouettes and slowly slipped through the water. Our worn-out, baggy shorts were quickly soaked in the knee-deep water and from the spray of the fountain. The star-studded sky and crescent moon made
