Just watching the state of society here in the USA as day by day news, political extremism trends, and financial manipulation and just general craziness of the world continues to grow, I have realized how events may turn our cozy world on its head at a moment’s notice. Going forward from that realization, I am also aware of how few people seem to have even noticed or prepared for such a thing to happen. By no means a complete list, but let’s call it a top ten list or whatever.

Let’s not paint me, right off, as a ‘muslim hater’, per se. Yeah, I know not ‘all’ muslims are enemies of the USA, most living peacefully among us or having no particular evil intent. But let’s be realistic, shall we? CAIR and such Islamic fronts continually strive to minimize the very real threat of their fanatics. They continually strive to insinuate their version of ‘law’ into the USA, subverting and cancelling the Constitution. They side with leftist attacks on Christianity while fanatically and viciously attacking anyone daring to ‘insult or offend’ muslims. The muslim faith appears to be the most significant threat currently facing the citizens of the USA and those muslims that do perceive the USA as their prime target are fanatically inclined to pursue the goal of killing as many of us as possible, up to and including the complete demise of the USA. The personal view of these people is to either totally defeat the USA, killing as many ‘infidels’ as possible, or achieve ‘martyrdom’ by getting themselves killed in the effort. And that, my friends, defines an enemy very plainly.

Just counting the significant attacks since 1979, the US and it’s interests, embassies and so forth have been successfully attacked by Islamic-fascist terrorists, tallying upwards of forty times. With little or no response by our spineless politicians, which emboldened these bastards, they planned ever larger attacks, topping the list with the twin towers basement bombing and finally 9-11 on our own soil. If one looks back on history, you will find these same Muslim pirate crazies were at war with us when our nation barely existed. These people consider it their religious duty to attack Americans and anyone who is NOT a Muslim, at every possible opportunity. This religious frenzy blinds them to reason or logic, looking past the fact that destroying the American economy will devastate the world’s economy along with it. They work at it relentlessly, as we’ve pursued them for the past ten years. They will use any mass weapon they can get, including:

Biological Attack

If you have plenty of these fools who are willing to blow themselves to bits ‘for the cause’, then becoming infected with a fatal disease in order to begin a pandemic against America is perfectly plausible. Virtually impossible to defend against using our pathetic, but highly invasive methods by the TSA of groping grandmothers and little kids in diapers, one infected ‘martyr’ on board a transatlantic or cross country flight infects the hundreds on board the plane. Upon landing, all those passengers disperse to their daily lives, and onward from there.

Anthrax, botulism toxin, smallpox, bubonic plague; these forgotten diseases in the modern world, which are still deadly, could be dispersed in public places. And then there are the potential pandemics caused by engineered bio-warfare. Topping off the problem here will be the government’s lame attempts at pandemic control using quarantine, curfews and travel restrictions, which in the long run just magnifies certain problems and only delays the inevitable. Some areas test their disaster crews using robo-calls, and the responder is to push ‘1’ if they received the call, which identifies itself as a test. This supposedly verifies that their phone numbers are current. Well, guess what happened when a particular town decided to get a notch more serious and said ‘this is NOT a drill, press 5 for further instructions’? More than half hung up with no response. Hmm. Nice to have people you can count on. When the real thing finally does happen, can you expect anything different? I can’t fault them too much, though. If I was in that situation, I’d be sorely tempted to take care of my family first, as well. But, I have it on good faith that our dedicated police and fire will respond to the situation after securing their own families. More is coming about how to seal up your home and hang out for up to 12 weeks if the government announces a city-wide quarantine.

Nuclear Attack

Imagine this scenario: a terrorist nuclear device, constructed with stolen uranium, parked in a van in downtown New York City.

In the seconds after the blast, everything within a half-mile radius would simply cease to exist, looking like the aftermath of 9/11.

Within a half mile, about10 blocks, several hundred thousand people would be killed either by burns, debris, the blast, or direct exposure to radiation. If you look up and see it, you've got a chance. You're not part of that initial blast.

The densely packed skyscrapers would absorb and contain a lot of the blast. In the next 10-blocks out, there would be far less destruction and death. And outside that ring -- the city may be mostly intact.

But rising up five miles into the air above the city would be a mushroom cloud of radioactive dust.

Within 15 minutes, that dust and debris would start falling back to Earth, and begin drifting on the wind. At that point, time would determine the difference between those who live and those who die. When that stuff starts raining down, you're going to be exposed to massive radiation. Continued survival would depend on what you do next. The problem is, many of your first instincts may be a waste of time.

The electric grid is down. No TV for news. No phones. Gridlock if you try to drive away and the car is worthless against radiation.

The authorities plan to use a computer to track the path of the nuclear cloud on the wind. Supposedly communicating with first responders, they would evacuate people out of the path of the fallout, way further out from the blast site. And first responders should have drilled to prepare for treating the injured.

The biggest task they face will be decontamination. Radiation destroys the body's ability to create white and red blood cells, so hospitals in the area will have to set up large numbers of facilities.

However, no American city currently has the capacity to respond to a nuclear detonation. When you're talking about 100,000 or 200,000 people who need decontamination or medical care, in reality, it just isn't happening.

Look for the plume. See if you can determine which way it is traveling. If not, using the emergency radio channels, officials should be able to tell you which direction is safe, and that's the direction to go. Move laterally or in the opposite direction, and do not move toward the plume.

If you can't avoid the plume at home, you still can get to a protected place, like a basement or interior room that can be sealed against radioactive dust. See our tips further on using heat shrink window film for this. You can expect to be hunkered down in your home for an extended period, until the government announces its safe in the area to venture out again.

If you come in contact with the radioactive plume, there are some steps you may take to decontaminate yourself. Wearing a dust mask would be very helpful, pull your shirt up over your face, if nothing else. Dump the clothes you're wearing outside your house or shelter as quickly as you can. Get your skin decontaminated by washing off, taking a shower if possible. Potassium iodide tablets may minimize some radiation damage.

Think about how to survive. Attitude makes the difference.

Osama Bin Laden, before we blew his head off, may the fleas of a thousand camels infest his nether regions as he burns in hell, stated that it was the priority of his network to obtain and use nuclear weapons of whatever type they could get their hands on against the USA. The remains of his crew of crazies will carry on his work, despite all of them moving up a notch on the SEALs hit list. The hate filled sand fleas of his group are not the only ones we should be concerned about; the homegrown radicalized nut jobs are out there too. Plenty of our current and former world enemies with nukes would gladly quietly sell such weapons, if enough cash passed under the table. Because of our spineless politicians’ continual neglect of border enforcement, we are over run with illegal immigrants, who undermine the efforts of legal immigrants working toward becoming welcome American citizens. There is the positive chance that Islamic terrorists, working in conjunction with drug cartels or rogue nations south of the border, will casually walk across the Mexican border with weapons of mass destruction such as suitcase nukes. Then there’s the dirty bomb thing, merely high explosives wrapped with stolen nuclear waste from reactors, hospitals or any other facility that produces radioactive waste. Wouldn’t be as spectacular as a full blown nuclear weapon, but would accomplish much in the way of psychological damage, economic disruption and many years of radioactive poisoning of the locality.

And then, the most damage possible from using a single device, there’s the high-altitude detonation of a nuke that would accomplish massive infrastructure damage, the electromagnetic pulse (EMP) talking out the electric grid in up to 75% of the continent, based on size of the nuke and placement over the country. Time travel to the 1800’s, anyone? Every essential service, which depends on the grid now destroyed, is non functional, police and fire protection not to be found, total anarchy.

EMP Commission Report

Quoting from the EMP commission report, "A single EMP attack may seriously degrade or shut down a large part of the electric power grid in the geographic area of EMP exposure effectively instantaneously. There is also a possibility of functional collapse of grids beyond the exposed area, as electrical effects propagate from one region to another. The time required for full recovery of service would depend on both the disruption and damage to the electrical power infrastructure and to other national infrastructures. Larger affected
