I am a mother of a teenager and an two adults. I am a single mother. I am a veteran of the Army National Guards. I am also disabled. I have struggles with financial matter like most people. I am one of the many people that suffers from bi-polar. I battle each and everyday to not fall into yet another depression. During my last major depression I came close to ending my life. One night a friend, that I haven't seen in 19 years, came over to my residence. The subject of my writings came up in conversation. I told him I would write if only I could find something to write about. He then said, "To just start doing it and watch it unfold however it will." I soon started writing and slowly came out of my deep depression. Since writing my thoughts into poetry and stories helped me through a very hard emotional time, I decided to set a goal of publishing my works. Along the way I talked to someone about how I enjoyed writing and he suggested publishing an Ebook. I figured it couldn't hurt.

    Truth Revealed

    Abbey

Looking across at Mr. Edward Crane, my mother’s attorney, with his white hair, mustache, and beard sitting tall in his chair. I knew in my heart my life would change after the reading of my mother’s will. Will it be for better or worse? I wondered.

Hearing Mr. Crane’s voice, Abbey focused back on the matter at hand.

I’m sorry, but it’s just so hard. I miss her so much already, said Abbey.

I’m so sorry for your loss, Ms. Landcaster. Are you ready for me to read your mother’s will?

    Yes, please do, Mr. Crane.

    There’s no more Ms. Landcaster."

Abbey expected what her mother left her. So, why do I still have this strange feeling? I wondered. Maybe nothing is wrong and it’s just my imagination. Or maybe it’s that I don’t have my mother around anymore.

    Ms. Landcaster?, asked Mr. Crane.

Once again the sound of Mr. Crane’s voice brought Abbey back.

Well, that is all. I’m sorry for your loss. Your mother was a pleasant and dear woman. Always fun to be around.

Abbey, came Mr. Crane’s voice once again as she was about to leave.

    Yes, Mr. Crane?

I almost forgot, there is one more thing. About a year ago, your mother came in and asked me to give this to you after I read you her will, he said as he handed her a large envelope with his frail hand.

"Well, now that is all. Once again, I’m so sorry for
