About this ebook
Being a zookeeper is all Max ever dreamed about doing. He cares about what happens to the animals so very night before leaving he makes sure they are all safe and checks on them when he arrives. One evening he sees some things that can't really be happening but that is nothing compared to what happens the next day. Now Max has to come up with a plan or someone might end up hurt.

Chapter 1
Max walked into the zoo as he had for many years. He was the first one there and the last one to leave. The peacefulness of the morning was the time he enjoyed the most. Being able to walk around without all the noise from the kids was like nothing else he could ever imagine. Birds chirping, hippo yawning, giraffes stretching, as well as the other animals waking up all around him, what could be better?
As he walked he thought back to his first visit to the zoo. He had only been three years old, but he could still remember all the animals he saw and how excited he had been. The jaguar had come right up to the glass. A bear was taking a swim in a pool to cool off, and in the next exhibit the sea otters were doing the same. That trip he had fed a giraffe and rode an elephant. Max could still feel what it was like being up so high on the back of the elephant. Before he and his parents left the zoo he was able to buy something at the gift shop. It only took a matter of seconds before he saw what he wanted, a falcon stuffed animal. It even made the sound of a falcon when you squeezed its beak. Ever since then you couldn’t keep him away from the animals.
