    Introduction

If you're a high school or college student reading this on your tablet or computer right now, I just want to say, you are on the right track already. As one of the organizers and main speakers of a career event series (CareerCamp), I've met hundreds of students and noticed that some of them aren't concerned enough about their futures to read articles giving career advice. Some don't even care yet, and instead want to spend more time having fun and worrying only about today.

Well guess what? We don't want you to worry about tomorrow. We at CareerCamp and EdgeWise.PH made some mistakes early on with our careers, and we learned our lessons. Now we're sharing them with you, so you learn from our mistakes too. What this means is that you can start planning your career already, right now, and reading these articles will make you smarter than many job applicants out there already.

The articles compiled in this ebook give tips for developing the skills that'll help you on the job, and maybe even in school. Many of them aren't necessarily in your course curriculum, but they're important lessons that'll help you make better decisions in the future.

Articles included here were previously published on our career webzine, www.edgewise.ph. Visit the site for new articles and updated advice. We're here to help you get the career you want!

How to be a Professional Juggler (of Time)

Being in college can be an exciting yet daunting experience. There are just so many new things to discover, places to see, people to meet and things to do that it can be quite overwhelming.

So how do you avoid being buried under a mountain of schoolwork and being deemed as a social outcast for missing those all-important social events? The answer is balance. Not the acrobat kind of balance, of course, the being able to balance your time. If you want to know how to juggle schoolwork and extra-curricular activities, and still have time to relax and unwind with friends, read on.

    1. Keep a calendar

It doesn’t matter if it’s store-bought or printed out from your PC, just make sure you have a calendar that you can write all your schedules on. If there’s a math test scheduled next week, write it down on the calendar. If there’s a general assembly of your org, make a note of it as well. Dinner out with family?
