A.M. Burns started writing in high school for a way to pass the time. Over the years his writing and imagination have developed to the point where he was ready to share his stories with the world. He has a vast love of nature, and hopes that is conveyed in his writing. In his adult life he has lived in California, Colorado and Texas. He is a member of the Colorado Springs Fictions Writers Group. A lifelong love of birds, lead him to become a falconer and he currently enjoys hunting with his tiercel red-tailed hawk Zephyr. In addition to his hawk he shares his home with several dogs, a couple of cats, various rodents, a pair of horses and his loving partner.

Dr Aphrodite

Aphrodite glanced at her calendar. It looked like a full day. A quick look at the wall-clock told her she had ten minutes before her first appointment, so she decided to get a fresh chocolate mocha. She walked out of her office, pausing at Cupid’s desk to tell him where she was going.

He flashed her a big understanding smile full of perfect white teeth. In some cultures it would have been seen as a challenge, but Aphrodite knew he was just smiling . That sounds just fabulous, could you bring me one too?

Sure sweetie. She smiled back and wandered down the hall to the newly-opened coffee shop that served several office buildings in the area. As she approached the small shop, the overwhelming aroma of gourmet coffees grew to almost an orgasmic level.

The glass door opened and a small blond man dashed out clutching a large brown cup of steaming brew in his hands. He looked up just before he would have smashed into her. Hey Doc, catch ya later. Don’t want to be late.

See you later, Sid, Aphrodite replied catching the door before it closed.
