Expressions of the Heart - Lee Stratton
AUTHOR
POETRY
The poetry that’s within, is a gift from above.
They’re meant to lift the heart, each filled with so much love.
They speak about the good, remembering times when we are sad.
They speak about our happiness, those days when things go bad.
Some talk of separation, when sailors go away.
There still will be no loss of heart, because of what they say.
Some say that love will grow, even though they are apart.
To share this kind of love, brings joy into their hearts.
To see a shining rainbow, or to wipe away a tear.
To express just what you’re feeling, to someone who is dear.
To see that inner beauty, is therefor us to touch.
To look beneath the surface, would bless our lives so much.
They speak about our God, Who gave His only Son.
So that mankind might be saved, what a wondrous thing He’s done.
I pray you will be blessed, as you read these words of love.
For they all possess a gift, which comes from up above.
LOVE POEMS
The poems you’ll see within,
Are all conceived in love.
They’ve all been sent to us,
By our precious Lord above.
These poems all come from God,
To encourage one and all.
In the hopes you’ll seek this gift,
Then hearken to its call.
The call for us to love,
To help each other out.
If we all could feel this way,
We’d have peace without a doubt.
Please look inside your heart,
Recognize the love that’s there.
Reach out to everyone,
Showing how much you care.
JOY
Joy to me is knowing that,
We have a love that’s real.
I love to have this warmth inside,
What a blessed way to feel.
Feelings that I can’t describe,
But surge within my heart.
It gives my tummy butterflies,
That I pray will never part.
I love to frolic in the rain,
Or go rolling in the snow.
Let’s build some castles in the sand,
These fun times sure can grow.
Grow into a lasting love,
With memories so dear.
My heartbeat runs at double time,
Whenever you are near.
So take my hand and hold it tight,
Please never let me go.
My love for you grows ever strong,
I just wanted you to know.
INNER HEALING
(PSALM 147:3 )
Although we’re blessed with sight, there are times we may be blind.
To the fact We hurt so many, instead of being kind.
The reasons why we hurt, is we do not feel the pain.
From a scar that’s deep inside, that gives anger time to reign.
So if your troubled heart, understands not what you seek.
What you may need in your life, is a love that is unique.
With it should come peace, to know you can forgive.
The pain caused by the others, which made life hard to live.
You also need to ask, for their forgiveness, too.
For the anger and the hatred, that may have been in you.
Once you have been healed, you can thank our Lord above.
For His gift of inner healing, God’s endless source of love.
FAMILY
(GALATIANS 6:10 )
Our Lord knows all, He is our mighty king.
We often praise His name, while we worship and we sing.
He knows what separation is, when a son must go away.
He dreams of his safe return, with the start of every day.
But a Christian is not alone, for God is always there.
All we need to do to be with Him, is to go to Him in prayer.
Our Lord gives so much love, it never has been measured.
His love is absolute, within our heart it’s treasured.
I’ve found the love at Gateway Community Church,
A family of Christians who care.
My brothers and sisters in the Lord,
Who are
