"Demon Riding Shotgun" by L.R. Braden was an excellent read. I enjoyed Mira's character so much. Mira has had a demon inside her since she was 11 years old. She is constantly fighting it. She has spent years taking out the Rifters of the world and trying to keep everyone safe from them. After a night out, Mira goes to a bar and runs into Ty. Ty is an officer with the Baltimore Police Department. They have a one night stand, and he finds out that Mira is the number one suspect for a murder that happened that night. My favorite part is when Ty is helping some children out of a building that is about to collapse. While Mira is trying to help by doing what she does. This is book one in the "Magicsmith: Rifter" series, and I can't wait to continue in it.

It is not too often I give 5 stars, but I really enjoyed this story and narration. I couldn't stop listening and now it's almost 3:30am and I'm saddened it's finished. I hope there is a sequel or a series to continue Mira's story.
